Very effective on medium thickness branches. I was cutting low hanging ash branches of two-three inches thick. Remember to tighten the chain as per instructions before/ after use or chain will fly off. I had some trouble pushing the two halves of the shaft together when assembling, but a spot of vaseline cured that. The whole thing is quite heavy. Probably need to make better use of the shoulder strap than I did to balance it. A cap comes with one of the shafts to cover the electrical connection in transit - this is worth keeping and using for storage purposes.

For what it is a fair price,neatly packed and as in two halfs ,easy to store.Have repect for its limitation as over presure when cutting ,the chain comes off to easy ,otherwise does its job well,only main complaint,for the not so young,it can be top heavy when at full length cutting otherwise ok machine as easy to assemble and keep clean.

Excellent product. Heavy duty. Is quite heavy to hold. Love the extension hight. Absolutely brilliant. Got the job done. Very happy with it.

I never got chance to use this item as it arrived damaged. It was obvious the box had been opened as it was covered in tape. The item had a bent electrical connection and was missing any manual or instruction sheet.The gear looked to be sturdy and good quality so I was disappointed I was sent a dud.

The packaging was split and taped up and the prongs on the connecting pole were bent and the plastic broken.After straightening the unit now works.The saw is fine and cuts well but when fully extended the unit is very heavy and difficult to hold firm and not ideal for anyone but the strongest and fittest.

I got this to trim a branch from a tree that was catching the telephone wires when it got windy. Easy to assemble and great adjustable height reach. Bit of chainsaw oil ( I actually used vegetable oil) and voila, tree sorted. It's a great bit of kit. I was impressed by how light it was, not to mention how quickly it cut through the offending branch as well as chopping this down to a reasonable size for the recycling. For the price it is excellent. The instructions are easy to follow. Admittedly with my eyesight, I had to enlarge the instructions to be able to read them properly. But instructions are included, which seems to be rare with so many items these days. I would recommend this item.

Light and very effective. Longer than most other makes

This is a great product but my only concern is the weight of head which for an OAP is far to heavy to control it when used at its max length. It would had been helpful to confirm the weight of the head as well as the overall weight.
