One of the best purchases I've made
I bought these things because I wanted to start swimming, but I actually wear them way more outside of the pool. I wear these while running, biking (they fit under my helmet pretty easily), exercising, and of course swimming. I also wear them while walking around, doing chores, and sometimes while showering. Earbuds gave me ear strain / exhaustion when I wear them for too long, and headphones are inconvenient, but this headset solves both of those problems, which is probably why I wear them everywhere. Being able to perfectly hear everything around me with the volume low or block it out with higher volume is also a huge benefit these things have over traditional headphones and earbuds. They are lower quality than my headphones and earbuds, but it's pretty easy to live with. You lose a lot of bass and lower frequencies with this technology. I'm a musician and still prefer this to my higher quality audio gear, though. The 4GB storage is a huge drawback. I mitigate it by converting my albums to MP3 V0 before loading them up to compress their sizes, but 4GB is atrocious in the modern age. Regardless, I can load like 25 albums and 20 1hr podcast episodes on it at once, which is enough for me.It charges quickly, but ironically file upload speeds are quite slow at about 3MB/S. It takes about 20 minutes if I want to entirely swap out the contents in it.

Best thing for lap swimming!
This is one of my favorite purchases ever! These bone conduction headphones work incredibly well underwater and making my daily lap swimming so much more enjoyable. They work much better if you use the earplugs they come with, or any waterproof earplugs, but it's not necessary, just makes the sound clearer and louder. You have to load your own music onto it. You can also load podcasts, books, etc. They have an amazing return policy and really honor their product. I think it's easy for them to do since they are well made and work well. They're comfortable, easy to use, and the sound is clear. Can't say enough about these. If you're a lap swimmer, this will change your game. The only issue will be, if you're like me, you'll find it difficult to swim without them.

Simple Pefection! Great Sound Quality, Easy to Use (and they answer the phone!)
Absolutely fantastic product - it feels like it was designed by swimmers for swimmers. I've tried a few MP3 players for swimming - starting with the waterproof Nano. Sound quality, ease of use and durability were always the issue.Pros:Great sound quality. I swim in an Endless Pool and so the ambient noise of the water flowing/motor are higher than in a standard pool. I definitely needed to use the earplugs they include - but with them, absolutely perfect. I am careful to set the volume before I start swimming to make sure I keep it at a safe level. No issue at all with the bone conduction - love it. No - your teeth don't rattle! It feels exactly like an ear bud without the irritating bud in your ear.Easy to use. When swimming - the logic of the buttons are a must. These are perfect. Super simple to tactically feel the volume/skip buttons. Loading it with music was the same as any standard MP3. Worth noting that the charging cable is ingenious! It's a pin charger which means contact is essential and the USB charger connects with a clasp that keeps it in exactly the right place - and it can hang off a charger etc without losing connection - brilliant.Comfort. Anyone tired of having the quality of the music dependent on jamming the ear buds in to your ear and having to reposition them when they come loose will appreciate the bone conduction. As shown in the pictures - this wraps around the back of your head, comes over your ears and rests comfortably on the bone in front of your ear. I prefer to have a cap covering my ears which made these a bit awkward but giving that up, they are fine - and even swimming against a strong current in my Endless Pools these stay in position without any difficulty.Thoughtful additions. Love the rubber case (ventilated no less). Very thoughtful addition of excellent quality ear plugs. Fantastic charging system as mentioned. Wonderful tactical feel to the rubberized skin around the ear phones - they just feel high quality (and the blue is really great looking!).Great support. I was confused by the pre-loaded songs and thought I'd received a return from Amazon. Called them and was connected instantly. I don't always check up on customer service but when I know it's either particularly good or bad it's worth a mention.Value. Relative to other solutions out there - I found this to be an outstanding value.Comment on Lack of Blue Tooth: I would love it to have bluetooth for streaming Spotify - but that would mean having to have my very not waterproof iPhone on the pool deck which is just a bad idea for me. I tried and returned another system that was Bluetooth compatible and there are two issues that made it not worth the hassle. First - bluetooth doesn't travel through water so the device has to be carefully positioned and - at least in my case, the wi-fi signal where I swim isn't that strong and that means being organized enough to have offline playlists which I'm not. I'm sure this brand is going to figure it out but while swimming, I'm just happy to have tunes, it doesn't have to be my latest Spotify playlist.Cons:I haven't found a single one. I haven't had it long enough to test quality or battery/charge life but not concerned. For some, the lack of bluetooth and limitation of MP3 which means owning the music might be a negative. Thanks to the team at Shokz - the extra effort shines through. Wonderful to see a brand go the extra mile (and cost) for a great customer experience and service.

Way too large, making them uncomfortable
Prior to buying Shokz, I had gone through two SYRYN mp3 players that I used for swimming regularly. Each if them lasted about 3 years before the software wouldn't work anymore. I was looking for a replacement that would be more comfortable, less clumsy with wires, and more reliable and easier with loading sound files. (Initially I was hoping for Bluetooth so I could just stream from my phone since I mostly listen to podcasts, but it became clear that you can't use Bluetooth for swimming anyway.)So, the pros of Shokz over my SYRYNs: the charging and file loading onto the player is smoother and not having to wrap all the wires around my goggles is a definite plus. The buttons for volume and track changing are also slightly easier. The cons: While the sound is good, you must wear ear plugs when under water to be able to really hear the sound well. This sort of defeats the purpose of not having in-ear buds. But, the biggest negative of these is the fit. My head is average female sized, maybe a tiny bit smaller, and these things are just wayyy too big. They don't sit in a comfortable position, either on my ears or behind my head. To get them to go over my ears I have to keep my swim cap pulled way up above my ears and if I try to pull my cap down over them, it's really painful, pushing the headphones down into the back of my ears. There is way too much space between the back of my head and the back strap of the headphones. To keep them from flopping around I have to angle them way up and hook the back over the bump my ponytail makes under my cap. This makes the headphones sit at a weird angle on my ears that is not very comfortable and doesn't provide the best sound conduction. I wish they would make them somewhat adjustable, or perhaps in a small and large size.
