I needed a new Chlorinator O-ring, so I bought this one. I cleaned up the chlorinator lid where the old O-ring was, coated my new o ring with the provided silicon grease and installed it. Fits as expected. No leaks. Works as expected. Plus, I have a spare for next time.

The product (O-Ring) was exactly as described and slipped exactly into place and immediately sealed up my Polaris 320 Chlorinator. I still can’t believe Polaris is selling their units with junk O-Rings. I talked to a pro pool guy and he said they’ve known for years… And the OEM O-Rings barely last a season! Luckily these guys are here to save the day! No more $10 single season O-Rings for me! Buy these with confidence.

I've replaced the o-ring several times before I bought this product, every time without that silicone sealer. I had been told that it was unnecessary and useless - WRONG! Installing this new ring with the sealer made it soooooo much easier. Also, it seems to have a slightly different (hopefully better) composition that allowed me to screw the lid down with less-than-monster-truck-force and still get a nice seal. Some rings have lasted way longer than others. If this one lasts as long as I hope it will, I will revisit this review. Seems like a quality product. Really happy with it so far!

Perfect fit

I don’t normally leave reviews unless something is really good or really eh. I gave this 4 stars because it fits, it works, and it comes with plenty of silicone. But I just needed to replace the gasket again (using the second one in the package) and it’s June 2025. I bought the two pack in August 2024. That means a gasket doesn’t even last a full year. Everything in the pool industry has become absolute garbage - it’s not just this product. Nothing lasts even a year. I am constantly replacing parts I’ve already replaced. But the original parts from 2007 that haven’t failed yet just keep trucking along. You just have to have a box of spare parts these days. Take my chlorinator for example. I have to use a rebuild kit once a year, repair the plastic lines multiple times per year, the gasket apparently now more than once a year. And I take care of my stuff. I was buying Pentair original parts but they don’t last any longer! They just cost more. So frustrating.

Previously had purchased the original o-rings for this bleach tablet canister, but decided to take the chance on these about 10 months ago. So the originals, at 2x the price (or, more precisely, the same price for a single as you pay for 2 of them here), last maybe a year. Maybe you might squeeze 14 months or so out of them, but honestly, it's rubber, it's in circulating water - it's not going to last forever, no matter how well you lubricate it. I decided to chance these and see how it went. Well, I got 10.5 months out of the first one, but when my wife noticed the leaky seal and reported it today, guess who got to look like an absolute genius when he walked over and pulled out the extra one and replaced it? And honestly, the thing that takes it over the top is the silicon grease tube. Just right to cut, lube the o-ring up, and throw away. All in all, a stellar deal! 75% of the lifespan of the originals, plus grease, for half the price? I'll give that 5 stars any day.

This o-ring was a drop-in fit for the stock black rubber o-ring in the cap of my Pentair Rainbow 320 chlorinator chemical feeder. There were no leaks. My original black rubber 0-ring had lasted from 2018 - 2024 but I made the mistake of removing it from the cap to inspect it. It had swelled to 150% of its original size, but more importantly, was suddenly an inch too long to go back into the cap! The years or chemical exposure to chlorine and Rainbow Silicone grease had swelled it apparently. If your old rubber o-ring has been in for a while, you may well need one of these o-rings if you remove the old one from the cap. The Pentair rubber o-rings are $14 each, so these Viton rings are a much better value. The Viton material should last much longer as well. I have only run this Viton o-ring for a few weeks and will check its condition at the end of the 2024 swimming season.
