Really a cool tool - Simple and cost effective - Does any amazing job crimping.
I am pretty impressed with this. I am installing a electric winch on my flatbed trailer and wanted to do a good job with the wires but did not want to spend a lot of money on an expensive crimping tool that I would only use once or twice. This one is priced really low but the quality of the tool and the end result make it an awesome investment. The overall crimping power is really noteworthy. I am super happy with how my job turned out and HIGHLY recommend this tool. It also just took a couple of minutes to get everything set up to do the job.Bottom line: A really high quality tool, made right to do a great job, priced right and delivered to my door the next day. Great crimper, does those monster connections!
I've always struggled getting a connector on a battery cable. This crimper works like a charm, though!Use; I put it on a solid base, I keep a 10 pound short handled hammer for a backing weight, the use a 4 pound hammer to strike it. One hit, solid crimp every time! The plunger is spring loaded, so you get the terminal in place and it's held there by the spring. Hold the cable right where you want it and Blam! Crimped!It's heavy, but very compact. I keep mine in my electrical toolbox, which isn't nearly as big as I'd like, but it's small so I'm ok with it. This way it's always there when I need it.

Used so far for 8ga, able to crimp top or bottom. Time saver, money saver.

Works as designed. Just wish it was able to stand by itself.
Works good; wish it was balanced or could stand vertically easily (maybe counter-balanced for the hammer strikes), but it is compact and easy to maneuver into tight places for use.

It really works
The little thing is made heavy steel and does an amazing job with a few hammer blows to crimp the cable lug solid!I used a thin copper cable ferrel around my #2 welding cable before crimping with this tool. Also, a 2 pound mini sledge hammer works with less effort. Used a couple strong strikes and it's locked in, not coming out or loose.Should have owned one of these years ago.

Great adaptable little tool!
Did a great job on automotive battery cable! Excited to use it on tractor and Winch builds. Chucked it up in machinists vice and gave it some good taps - held great! I'm glad it can b the used on a variety of wire guages!
