First time failure
It worked great the first year in my greenhouse, then after maxing out in the heat, it did a melt down. All the plastics on it curled up. Would go with a more durable gauge next time.

Doesn't need batteries to operate
So far seems very accurate. I love that it doesn't require batteries or any power source to work. Very good value for the money.

Easy to see pointer
The bold black numbers and pointer stand out much better than most others that only have a dark pointer tip. Easy to see from 30+ feet away. Note: picture is taken about 25 feet away facing south at 11AM in full sun.

Keeps the Correct Temperature
I calibrated it indoors first before hanging inside the chicken coop. I mounted it at the very top since heat rises and it matches the Blink camera temperature, also mounted at the top of coop, pretty well. I gave it three stars because it is super cheap lightweight plastic. I have no way to guage the humidity but it doesn't appear to accurate. Meaning it's 70% outside and a bit higher in the coop

Great Thermometer
With record breaking heat in Las Vegas, I thought it would be great to see the actual temperature in the shade on our back porch. This large dial thermometer fit the bill. The first one I ordered got lost in the mail so had to reorder it and get a refund. That’s all settled and now I can look out the back door and see how hot it really is here at the house and not the airport. So far, the highest temp I’ve seen is 121 and that was typical for almost an entire week. There’s also a hygrometer but it’s a lot smaller and you have to squint to see it. I’m also suspicious of the accuracy as it tends to show much higher humidity than the weather shows. Oh well. Still happy with it. Highly recommended.
