Fall of Hades: Michael Vey, Book 6

Tearjearker, still good
This book is centered around a battle for an Island full of prisoner sent there by the villainous Hatch. Michael Vey and his friends of the Elctroclan. This battle with certainly shock you. I'm not going to spoil it, but you need to have your tissues ready, because this by the time you finish this book you will be crying your eyes out. The end hurts a lot. Even so, it's a really good read.

I can't wait for book 7!
I preordered this book because I was flying abroad on the day that it reached the shelf in Kindle form. at the airports that I passed through I kept checking for the book to come in....24 hours later - what a ride! For some unknown reason I was under the impression that this was the last book in the series, all of which I have eagerly waited for. NOW Mr. Evans what have you done to me? November 2017? Ithink I will die of impatience!Seriously, this is even better written than than the last one. PME keeps up the tension till it is bouncing off the computer screen. I collected the books and read 3,4, 5 one after the other knowing that after I finished 5 I would only have a month to wait for 6.I am aware that these book are for young adults but 20 years ago when Paul Michael Evans was still on the shelf in our bookshops and I did not read electronic I became a fan of his books. I suspect that I am his only reader in Israel (my home). I used to order books (I have them all) and now read them on Kindle but that does not detract from my enjoyment and excitement when reading this very highly recommended continuation of one of the best adventure series available, for any age - I am nearly 70.

The best Michael Vey book yet!
Former EGG Welch reaches out to the Electroclan offering his help to overthrow Hatch. With Welch’s help, the kids conspire to free the three imprisoned glows. Meanwhile, Taylor is having dreams that seem to predict the future, but are not easily understood until after the fact. In order to finally overthrow Hatch, they must capture the Joule, a mission much more easily said than done. This sixth Michael Vey book is definitely my favorite. The ending was amazing, awe-inspiring, and painful all at once. I cannot wait until the seventh book comes out next year because that cliffhanger was crazy. The interactions of the teens was excellent and realistic since they all trust each other to varying degrees. There was a lot of exciting action and after a while I just couldn’t put it down. I told myself I’d stop at 90% to make dinner for my kids, but once I got there, I decided they could wait a little longer to eat while I finished the book (they survived and still had dinner before 7). I very highly recommend reading Michael Vey 6: Fall of Hades to everyone of all ages. Read the whole Michael Vey series. You won’t be sorry!

Richard Paul Evans continues his award winning Michael Vey series with "Fall of Hades"
I haven't read this one yet, number 6 in the series of 7, because I've saved reading this series during times I am in waiting rooms for doctors (you'll be surprised how fast time flies when reading this series), etc, but I'd give every one in the series 5 stars for being well written, great drama, suspense, well developed plots, several scenarios developing at the same time, but not distracting from each other, etc . . . I loved the whole concept of the "Electroclan", each member having complimentary, special skills . . . I won't say anything more 'cause I don't want to spoil this series for anyone . . . just start with the first one in the series, "MIchael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25", written 5 years ago this month . . . the series is now available in paper-back and hard cover, but I prefer the portability of e-books . . . I'd recommend this series for teens (for some, even younger) through octogenarians (of which I am one) . . . :) :) :)

Best Young Adult Series Book in my opinion.
This series has been seriously overlooked. It's one of the best series out on the market today for young people. Don't be mislead by the dark or mysterious cover the series is intriguing and really has some meat to the story. My daughter started the series when it first came out and she was a preteen. Know into her teens every year she gets the new book in the series and devours it in a few days if not hours then has waited for a year when the next book to comes out. This one was no different. The first day she got the book she read 12 chapters. If you looking for something different it's much better than Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, or James Dashner Series books, yet if your kids like those books they will surely love this series. Especially now that several books are out and you don't have to wait a whole year for the next one in the series!

Where the series went downhill, but better than the finale
I'll give it 3.5 stars very linear story, no character development (except for the main character of course) everybody else was just there, except for a few actions here and there, but I was very disappointed. It's like the author has all the ammo for a great story and chose to shoot blanks instead! I did like this book to an extent as well as how the book ended, but the way the author wrote the character development of the rest of the group left me feeling empty. That being said, this book was much better than the finale (which I gave 1 star because there aren't any negative stars to give). So if you feel like I feel after reading this book I suggest you stop here and use this book at your finale because it only gets worse, which led me to the decision to stop reading any further material from this author and made me wish I never picked up book one of Michael Vey!

Recommended for all YA Si-Fi fans!
This is one of my favorite books in the series along with Michael Vey 4: Hunt for Jade Dragon. The book had great desciptions and a perfect way of making me feel compelled and like I was in the story. And the ending left me hungry for more.

Slow beginning, but AWESOME climax!
As a fan of the series, this was probably the slowest book, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. the first two thirds of the novel are mostly just building up to the climax and just kind of meanders from time to time, but once you get to the climax it's an outstanding roller coast of awesome! I mean it, this has the best climax of the series, along with one of the most satisfying come-up-ins in the series. I won't give it away, but I promise it will put a smile on every fan's face. My gripe is the cliffhanger at the end. It's driving me nuts! I can't wait for the final installment! Dang you, Richard Paul Evans! You always leave me wanting more!
