KNIPEX Internal Snap Ring Pliers-Forged Tips, 7.25

This set of snap ring pliers is only one size and it a little pricey at $25 dollars when considering that to buy an entire set with all sizes would cost a ton of money, but these work extremely well for their specific use case. I bought this and it was extremely easy to remove the 60mm snap ring I spent hours trying to remove with another tool that was a little too small and had a straight pin to fit in the holes. For me, I'm not going to have to work with a ton of snap rings and will likely just buy a specific one for a project if I'll need it. it costs less up front than buying a good complete set of other types and I think that long term these are better quality than a big kit of them. The curves on the tips are really good at holding the snap ring. the tool opens and closes easily, but not too easy. It's just all around a high quality tool and is very easy to use.

Tried using a universal set to disassemble a barbell for cleaning, and what an exercise in frustration! Lots of slipping, and sent one snap ring flying into an area from which I almost couldn't recover it. If a proper snap ring plier saves you from ONE such incident (and you know there will be one), it will have paid for itself. Good tools are worth it. Buying the right tool generally saves you more than you'd spend for a pro who already has it. And much of what the pros do isn't that hard.

Seem to work fine , but I wanted the next size or 2 up. I really had no idea from the description about the tip size and overall length. A picture of the tips against a ruler and overall length against a ruler would really help. These were the largest that would come up with a description from your store.

I was struggling with the snap ring that holds in the spider gear cover on my locker. I was using a cheap set of snap ring pliers and the snap ring was seriously kicking my butt. I just couldn't get a grip on it to get it out. I almost broke down and sent my Jeep to a shop to let them deal with it. Then I calmed down and decided I'd try buying the correct tool and trying the job again myself.No problem what so ever with these Knipex Circlip Pliers. They fit absolutely perfect in the snap ring and it came out super easy and went back in super easy when I was finished. Love these. Now I have completed confidence servicing my rear diff myself when out on the trail if I loose a C-clip or break an axle. Very happy with these pliers.
