The most BEAUTIFUL cobalt blue
This dye breathed new life into an old pair of adidas gazelles. They were originally a nice royal blue suede but over the last 3 years they have faded into a dull gray. This product completely restored them to the most brilliant blue - better than the original. This is the blue of my DREAMS. Yes, the dye is runny - because it’s dye, not paint. If you’ve ever used an aquarelle kit, this is the same watery consistency. Gorgeous color payoff after one coat, but I followed directions and did two. The shoes looked nearly black after application but dried down to the most brilliant, beautiful cobalt blue. The toes ended up slightly darker because they were kind of dark and dirty to begin with but I’m not mad about it as I didn’t take the time to deep clean them beforehand (I did go over them with an eraser and brush out the nap though).A word of caution: THIS STUFF WILL STAIN. Despite using painters tape on the bits I didn’t want to turn blue, I ended up getting a fair amount of drips on the white stripes and the soles. I was able to soak some bits of paper napkins in bleach (scrubbing bubbles foaming bleach, to be exact) squeeze out the excess and press them onto the stains like plaster. After they dried, I peeled them off and the stains were gone. I had to repeat this on a couple of really dark stains but in the end they all came out. The foaming bleach also took out the blue stains in my white sink after I stupidly tried to rinse out the little wool applicator and inadvertently turned my sink blue. So, bleach does work on non-porous and semi-porous surfaces. However, if you drip this on clothes I don’t think any amount of bleach will save you.All in all - EXCELLENT product when used correctly. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Great product!
I used this suede dye to revive my Adidas Gazelle shoes and they look brand new! The color is rich and even, and the suede texture remained intact. Highly recommended!

Revived my favorite shoes!
This product isn't perfect, and I can't say that I was very optimistic but overall I'm pleasantly surprised. These are my favorite shoes and Ive worn them at least once a week for the past 3 or 4 years. Being in quarantine and needing something to do, I decided to give them a wash. They looked pretty nice and clean when I scrubbed them down but when they dried...disaster. They looked like old man shoes. So I skimmed the internet for solutions. I know yellow suede is pretty hard to revive, and I watched a couple of videos of this product on YouTube but they were all for red or black suede, so I was nervous as to whether r not this product would bring my yellow kicks back to life. When the product arrived, the box said "leather dye" which upset me and I was ready to send it back, but thank goodness I actually looked at the product and it sure enough said suede on the bottle (weird packaging mishap I guess). The product also comes with a round fluffy "brush" (really its like a cottonball on wire) but I used a small paint brush instead. Much easier to control the product. I also only did one coat and I still have a little more than half left in the bottle. The first pick is the product, the second is the before, the third is one dyed shoe compared to the untreated shoe, and the last is the final results.Pros:- Will bring the color back- great for the price- pretty easy to useCons:- Color may not be exact (but to each is own)- Consistency is super loose and liquidy- Leaves shoes a bit rougher than suedeIt's not perfect, some parts are a bit darker than others due to the liquid consistency overlapping parts you've already dyed, but all in all, I'm happy with the results and happy I done have too throw my shoes away!

Amazing results, shoes look professional!
I was required to buy black shoes for an upcoming event, but out of tons of shoes I tried on, the ones that were the most comfortable only came in navy blue. I was terrified to try this out on a brand new pair of $65 shoes, but did it anyway. They turned out PERFECT - like they look like I bought them this way. Couldn’t be happier. For these shoes, I watched the Angelus YouTube videos for the basic instructions. But here are a few tips I have for anyone attempting to do this for the first time:You have to spend a LOT of time carefully prepping them. I used a vinyl tape (the red stuff in photo) and taped literally EVERYTHING I didn’t want to get paint or dye on. I spent about 45 minutes taping the soles, under the eyelets, and the white leather wave line on the Vans. Then I carefully ran over the tape seams with my fingernail to push the tape deep into the seams for a firm seal.I used the suede dye for the leather parts, and the Angelus acrylic paint mixed 1:1 with Angelus Soft on the canvas. Both dye and paint are VERY runny. If the suede dye drips AT ALL on ANYTHING - it will stain anything it touches immediately. I accidentally spilled some on my painted deck and it stained it permanently (even after trying to bleach it off), and it stained my fingernails/cuticles. Cover your work surface/table, and you should probably wear gloves.(Not pictured) I finished this off with using a suede brush once the dye dried and sealing them with waterproof stain/water protection spray.
