I have used several wire pullers, this one is very simple to use. I use it for barb wire and aluminum. Should last a very long time, just two pieces of steel with one bolt. I would buy again!

Holds wire good and stretches the fence without damaging it. The only thing my brother and i would change is make the head wider so it dosnt role over so easy while stretching fence other then that its a grate tool

I recently purchased the Ranchmate wire stretcher and have been very pleased with it so far. I've used it on small runs of American wire and it worked great. It holds the wire very tight, doesn't slip and works well in tight places. This is definitely a step up from the older traditional style stretchers with the wooden handle and clamping mechanism on a small chain. Money well spent with no regrets.

It has to be modified to even be a safe tool. It is a 5 star after welding in a steel plate to keep it from flipping and released wire under tension. Nearly took out my neighbor with a flying strand of barbed wire. Don’t assume you can keep it from doing this like I did.

Don't know how I have gone this long without one!! Works great. Easy to use and is a #1 addition to the fencing tool box. If you are putting up a lot of fence and don't have an extra set of hands helping you then this is a must.

Great for a one person fence repair. It would be safer to use if the end for pulling nails was wider. The Durban Durco which I lost, had a three inch end on it.
