Caused Extra Monitor to Black Out
I have had this for close to a year now. It worked fine in the beginning for me but the last 5 months I have had major issues. I have it hooked up to an extra monitor that I use every day for work. Since 5 months ago my external monitor would black out (its a brand new Samsung monitor that I have been using this whole time). Sometime when the monitor would black out it would freeze my laptop or even sometimes it would shut it off. My computer was having other problems so I took it the Apple store and everything was fine with my computer.I haven't used my extra monitor for a few weeks but today I decided to just use it again to see if it would work fine. Sure enough it kept blacking out. I would have to have the Thunderbolt connector at a weird angle to keep the monitor on ( but its not realistic for me to keep my hand on it the whole time).I just tried the monitor and all of the same cords I was using on my brothers Mac Book Pro and sure enough the monitor went black. I just ran down to Best Buy and bought an OFFICIAL Apple Connector. I tried it on the same Samsung monitor and the same VGA cord and it has not blacked out once! This Thunderbolt connector is crap and has caused me a lot of stress. I do not recommend buying product. Sure its about half the price as a real Apple Connector but it is not worth the hassle.Just FYI I have a Mac Book Pro 13" mid 2012 version with 8 GB of Ram and it is running El Capitan OS.My brother has a Mac Book Pro 13" mid 2009 version with 4 GB of Ram and it is running the Yosemite OS.

At least you're not paying full price, because they're gonna break either way
I've had a bad history with VGA adapters (official and unofficial) and Apple products. I can't tell if it's the adapter or the VGA cables, but these will work for a few months and die. I had this happen most recently while running karaoke at a friend's house, I was very glad that it wasn't a paying gig or I would have felt really bad.If you are using any Apple VGA adapter (no matter what product, this happened with my mini-DVI to VGA MacBook adapters as well), I would make sure your laptop is on a surface large enough to support the adapter. Basically, don't let the adapter hang off the edge of a table. I've noticed this tends to kill them, leave plenty of slack if you want to preserve the life of these things.

Works perfectly for the price.
I ordered this because my last adapter magically stopped working. This adapter works perfectly to connect my MacBook to an external Dell monitor and I have been using it for almost two months. One issue I have is that the screws on the VGA cable cannot tighten into the adapter because the adapter prevents the VGA cable from being fully inserted. That said, the connection is tight and I have never had it disconnect even when hanging so the screws aren't really necessary.Overall, this is a great product for this price and I would definitely buy it again.

Thunder NOT Lighting = MacBook NOT IPAD
It goes without saying that Thunder is not Lighting!!I bought this on a whim, via my phone without even thinking about it.It works as expected, just not with my IPAD... I only rate it poorly because they should make that quite clear in the description. However it equally falls on me for not paying attention. I'll take 1/3 the blame. 1/3 goes to vague product description, and 1/3 to Apple for creating two connectors with similar nomenclature (Lighting and Thunder.. )

Works
It works! I can finally use my mac to connect to my projector. It saves a lot of hassle and easy to carry around. Only problem is that I did have to jiggle it around after the initial use, which is frustrating if you want it to work in one go. Just have patience, unplug it and try again. If you don't have patience to redo something for 30 seconds, then this isn't for you.

Thunderbolt to VGA
Works perfectly. I accidentally dropped it and the VGA connector part came loose, luckily I was able to adjust it once again and it is working. So handle with care. So far, I have used it with another monitor on my desk and also with an Epson data show. I noticed that for some reason with the monitor, the computer slows down a bit.In general it works.

Works as expected
The adapter worked as expected to hook up a VGA monitor to the Thunderbolt port of my 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. I can use the external monitors with no issues.Only slight annoyance is that the threading for the bolts to tighten the VGA plug to the adapter are too deep. I cannot tighten them because the screws on my VGA cable won't grab.

Lower cost alternative
Ordered two of these, one was flawless. The other required some crazy glue on the Thunderbolt side to keep the connector from sliding into the housing. Both work fine now except for some minor screen flickers (1 or 2 a day max). Had this product for 4-5 months now. This is not an official Apple product, if you care.

Suficientemente bueno
Hace lo que se supone que debe de hacer, ni más ni menos. No me ha dado ningún problema en lo absoluto.
