I've tried these out on a few different surfaces. The product performs as advertised - given a flat, oil-free surface it creates an effective liquid barrier. However, I've found that in "real world" applications it is difficult to use effectively. For example, when placed on a flat, clean, but "well used" garage floor, the water will find a way through; either through a microscopic surface blemish or the dike failing to adhere to the concrete. This device will work well in lab conditions on things like surface plates and smooth epoxy floor. If you want to use it in your house significant prep work and testing is necessary.

Great for stripping/waxing floors.

Didn’t work out for me. In fairness to supplier I was trying to achieve something beyond a tabletop application.
