I feel they could of done better in that aspect
Arrived today on time. Does what I bought it for, which is playing my movie collection. I'm really impressed with the picture quality because most of my collection was downloaded in 360p, making them play a bit fuzzy on my TV. On the Nextbook they play clean and crisp. I did take a star off due to the material the screen is made of. I feel they could of done better in that aspect, or at least included a screen protector. Overall it's a decent tablet for the price.

Extremely cheap construction. Not built to last. No GPS.
MEH. Ordered two of these based on the cheap price for the decent specs listed and the fact that I have Ares 8 that is still working... One failed right out of the box and was tossed (battery would not charge and became extremely overheated, causing who knows what kind of hazard) and the other's power (charging) port bent out of shape and broke in less than a year so that it would only charge while holding the cord in a specific position. It did work decently for web browsing, email, music, and even full screen 1080p video (most of the time, depending on data rate) while it would charge, although the SD card slot NEVER worked from the beginning, so yeah, these things are not built to last. The original aluminum shelled version of this (the Ares 8 Wally-World 'exclusive') is actually still working, although it is quite a bit slower than the 8A (which has a plastic shell) on a good day, so this was doubly disappointing. The extremely outdated 1G of RAM is going to cause you no end of frustration if trying to do anything that requires any amount of memory (including multi-tabbed browsing, most newer games, or running things in the background); apps will constantly crash until you just want to hurl this thing out a window. If programmers (and I use the term loosely) would learn to code efficiently, this wouldn't be a problem, but good luck with that, especially on google store... psh, kids these days. But, if you know that you have a few well-coded (and/or older) apps that you want to run, it should work as long as the hardware holds out. Like I said in the beginning, the specs on this thing are good for the price (on paper, heh). One thing to note, the official specs for this model (8A) and the original (8) both say (or said) they have GPS. Nextbook are LIARS; neither have a GPS receiver. Oh, and don't expect to ever get an OS update or even a bug-fix or security update for these things; I can say with 99.4% confidence: not going to happen.

Worked slow but alright for a little while. Today ...
Worked slow but alright for a little while. Today, the screen just cut off completely. Spend the extra $ and get something fast and reliable.

Faulty
I believe these are faulty from the factory. Iโm unable to register it. The number they give no one answers. It keeps closing the games while your playing and I canโt seem to get google to work.

Don't buy
This isn't a very good table, VERY slow and it's not compatible with Netflix... Just spend a little more and get something better

Not worth anybody's time
I got this for my aunt well she said it was not responding to anything she did on it, I thought maybe she has too much running at one time but no it was slow, no matter what was going on with it I have factory restored it and still lags to the point that the preinstalled apps crash. That is not a good sign if the google apps that are installed with android crash the thing. Best to avoid anything from the Nextbook name and EFUN.
