Rotadent was recommended by my dentist. It is a great, if costly, electric toothbrush that leaves my teeth and gums feeling clean and massaged. It is very effective on tea/coffee stains. DenMat used to offer a lifetime guarantee on the handle, sadly they no longer do.These replacement heads are generally purchased through a dental office. Finding them on Amazon at a competitive cost was very satisfying.

Great concept--Lousy implementation
I have used a Rotodent brush for a long time. The original was purchased from my dentist. It seems to be the only real rotary brush available for home use. Based on good results evident during periodic dental cleaning visits, it is doing the job. Here is where the good news ends. From the beginning, I have experienced numerous problems the Rotadent brushes and drive unit. The first drive unit failed after a few months of use and was repaired by Zila and then failed again. Then I bought the "Plus" model which lasted for over a year until the drive coupler to the brush head would not turn any brush head. Since the Plus was not purchased from my dentist, Zila would not repair it. I am now using the latest "Pro" model that has a much improved brush/drive coupler. One constant problem has been failure of the right angle drive in the brush head. This has ranged from immediate failure of a new brush to a few that have run properly until the brush needed to be replaced. Several times, I have had to try several new brushes before any ran properly. The most recent time I had three new Pro brushes and only one would operate correctly. It should be noted that Zila will only honor their "warranty" if the Rotadent is purchased from a dentist. They seem to think that their products are only available from dentists who handle Rotadent products. From my experience, contact with Zila has never been satisfactory and apparently hasn't improved since they were bought. Still the same snotty attitude. They need a good design and quality control upgrade!!

Below average quality
These do not seem genuine. The heads slipped when new on 75% of new opened brushes. The ones purchased at my dental office never did this.
