Insane sound detail - like hearing songs for the first time again
As someone who spends a lot of time at their desk listening to music, I decided to buy these as I've heard beyerdynamics before and though I should give it a try. At first, they sounded a bit lacklustre, they didn't have the thumping bass I was used to and I started wondering if maybe my motherboard couldn't support them to their full ability. I was wrong, very wrong It takes a bit of time to adjust to the sound profile of these, but once it clicks, it HARD. You start hearing sounds in music that you've never heard before, it completely transformed how I looked at music. I used to love bass that made my headphones shake, but now, i love hearing the intricate details of the instruments and melodies. The cable is really long and thick, its really sturdy and means you never struggle routing it to your device. I have tried these while gaming and they deliver, if you're into games like call of duty where there's deep bass thats needed for the full effect, these wont do that (without a dac/amp), but they will keep the audio crisp and clean. However, in open world games, RPG's and horror games, they don't underperform at all. it is absolutely worth the price if you value audio quality, or want to start valuing audio quality. Also the black earpads are such a clean aesthetic, they don't break up the colour scheme like the white ear cup ones do.

Professional quality headphones
As would be expected from the brand, quality and performance are exceptional in these top-end headphones. Equally impressive however are the everyday features and attention to detail that are so often ignored in other phones, like the large round ear cups that totally cover the ears and clamp onto the head, with none of the discomfort (even pain!) caused by small cups that clamp onto the ears themselves. Headphones that completely cover the ears are essential in my view, minimising external sound interference, unwanted noise and sound distortion. One minor feature that I am particularly pleased about is the relatively tight headband adjustment - once set, it stays in its chosen position with little or no chance of being inadvertently knocked out of kilter. The phones have a nice long lead, too. Small details, but it all adds to the "quality of life"! All in all, an extremely well-built item that is lightweight and very robust.

Absolutely brilliant headphones with quality sound and excellent comfort
These headphones were my first step into the hifi headphone world. Coming from a line of gaming headsets "designed for comfort", I was skeptical of how comfortable these would be, despite any improvement in sound. These headphones are extremely comfortable. Big round ear cups, so even the biggest ears won't be cramped. Soft covers on the cups and the headband. Very light and good height adjustment for the ears - should fit any head. It's a shame the cable isn't removable, as I expect it'll be the first part to wear over time (I run over it with my chair quite often). However the removable and replacable leather band along the top is a great feature as that will surely wear out as well. I have noticed the adhesive on the stickers on the side of the ears, where they say "DT 770 PRO LIMITED EDITION 80 OHM", is becoming loose and the ends are flicking up around the curve. They aren't becoming so loose that they're peeling off entirely, however - just on the very ends. The quality of sound I'm getting from these headphones are amazing, even when just sticking the 3.5mm jack in a phone and playing spotify. I have never had a moment where I needed to take them off due to poor sound quality or poor comfort. They are also pretty comfy when lying down with them on, however the size can make them less comfortable if you have a harder pillow that doesn't accomodate them. Inside the box is a 3.5mm-6.35mm adaptor (screw on) and a drawstring bag. The bag is a nice addition, however it does feel cheap compared to the headphones themselves. I would definitely recommend checking out one of Beyerdynamic's hard cases available for roughly £20 as they would provide much better protection for the headphones while in bags or generally on the move. If you turn up the sound settings on the computer or phone, these headphones can kick a serious punch, possibly even replacing some cheap speakers if you leave them on the desk with something propping them open. However when they're on your head, or closed on the desk there is very little sound leaking, even at the higher volumes. I normally leave Windows sound settings at 15% for a comfortable volume. Overall, no real problems with these headphones after using them every day for 5+ hours minimum for nearly 8 months. I see these lasting a very long time, despite being fairly careless with them at times.

Headphones that produce sound
Use these for mixing and mastering, not sure how long ago I bought them but i've quite literally had them for years and never had any quality issues or deterioration. Affordable and what I needed to get started in music, but I do need more variety and range, more headphones the better.

Great, and a bit better than they used to be
I used to have DT 880 Premium. The differences I noticed, besides these being a closed back heaphones with less airy feel and more punchy bass (as expected) are: - much nicer cable, soft and flexible, the plasticky feel is gone - much smaller thread for the 6.25 adapter, so the jack looks neater, less bulky without it on - replaceable headband (and you'll want it replaced at some point, trust me) - all black appearance, including the earpads, looks kinda cool - 80 Ohm impedance; I had 250 Ohm of 880s and it was hard to drive with consumer devices. Now, I'm using these with the latest macbook pro with its support for high impedance headphones and Scarlett 2i2, as well as SMSL C200 DAC, so... not consumer either, but I find that with the former two they provide just enough juice to the heaphones at the maximum volume level, where it's loud but not too uncomfortable. Meaning I'd have a hard time driving the 250 Ohm version of 770s with those. Seems like 80 Ohm is the sweet spot. I didn't want to go down to 32 Ohm sensitivity either because from experience with lesser quality DACs, you would hear some hiss when no sound is playing. Comfort wise they are the same as I remember them. Could wear them for hours. And the sound signature with clear mids and crispy highs gives this feeling of unfatiguing clarity which works especially well for singer-songwriter stuff, ASMR, guitar, violin. All without sacrificing bass, so rock, EDM and movies still sound great, just not as good as with some other headphones that are better for that purpose. Passive noise cancellation is poor because of low clamping force and the comfy velour earpads. But these are bulky and with a 3m cable, so it's unlikely you're buying these for commuting anyway. Speaking of earpads, as comfy as they are, I found that I'd want them replaced every 1.5 years or so. That will greatly depend on how much you use them of course and what you consider acceptable in terms of looks and padding. So, naturally, it's best to know what you're buying these for... but you're unlikey to be disappointed with these.

Good quality, and comfortable to wear for long periods.
Feels durable and of good quality. It is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and has an adjustable headband allowing it to fit most people comfortably. The sound quality is good as well. The only downside of this, is that the cable is fixed to the headphones so you must make sure that you treat it with care as not to damage the cable - but they do sell replacement parts for pretty much everything including the cable for those who have the capability to replace it themselves. Great value overall.

Absolutely stunning
I'm obsessed with music and a big fan of VST instruments since 1999. So I can say now I'm an expert now at the age of 38. The most important thing about the DT770 PRO is it's clarity on the high end and a smooth and not exhausting bass response. I believe beyerdynamic nailed the frequency response and sensitivity on this 80 OHM version. My biggest debate before I bought this was "is it enough on its own?" The answer is YES You don't need any AMP or an audio interface to drive it and enjoy the 80 OHM version. Works perfectly with my Galaxy S9 phone (I don't have to use any EQ enhacements every song sounds amazing and balanced) I have a Gigabyte B550 motherboard PC with Realtek HD soundcard and it is perfect (even I have to turn my main volume down sometimes it is that loud) I bought this with a behringer MODEL D analog synth module and again the clarity and detail in sound is amazing I don't have experience with more expensive headphones but trust me coming from various general "bluetooth" headphones or sub £100 ones like the £80 range MPOW or SONY or JVC or Phillips or "BEATS Studio" or the famous ATH-M50x this DT 770 PRO is a far better choice. It is very comfortable feels kind of like a gentle pillow it sticks to your head but without feeling any pressure so you can wear it 5+ hours without feeling any pressure. It is perfect for gaming as well compared to my previous headphones I tried with Fortnite (yes I'm a weirdo I'm addicted to Fortnite at the age of 38) you can hear clearly if somebody is above you or underneath you in game with "3D Headphones" turned on in game yes this headphone is not a 3D one but it's clarity on the high end makes a huge difference compared to regular gaming headsets. The only thing everybody has to keep in mind is that the cable is not removable and it has a long one. So the way I'm using it is it has 3 cable ties when you unbox it so I kept them on and I set a specific length for the cable which I feel comfortable moving around with so the cable length will never be an issue for me. I highly recommend the 80 OHM version it is absolutely stunning compared to those BOSE "boomy" bass headphones this one is smooth and will not kill your ears if you are using it for hours.

Comfort, Clarity, and Build Quality That Stand Out
I just picked up the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm Limited Edition and I’m really impressed. The first thing I noticed was the comfort. The velour pads are super soft and I can wear them for hours without any pressure or heat. Sound-wise, they’re very clear with good bass that doesn’t muddy everything else. I’ve used them for music, and some mixing, and they perform great in all situations. They also feel solid and well-built, like they’ll last a long time. Noise isolation is surprisingly good even without ANC. Overall, they’ve exceeded my expectations and I’m really happy with the purchase.

Absolutely Phenomenal!
I am a professional voice over artist and these 80-ohm headphones are by-far the best quality & sound I have ever experienced in 45 years of work! The quality of the sound is unmatched and the range from highs to lows is incredible. Music as well as instrumentals as well as vocals are the absolute best you could expect. The noise cancellation is about 97% which is awesome. The build on the headset is wonderful. I had a set of Burl Wood Elites that were as good but very heavy on the head. Those cost in the thousands. This model from Beyerdynamic brings the 2-thousand-dollar quality into an affordable product. The weight is perfect. Not too heavy and not too light. I use mine on average 8 hrs. per day 6x a week, so product weight is a big factor. Trust me, these are easy to use for the entire day! The muffs are so incredibly comfortable due to the velour covers and the actual ear-to-speaker distance (inside the ear cover) ratio. Your ears will not get crushed with these. The cord is plenty long enough for mobility in the studio or simply wound up for desk duty. The dual plug capabilities are very convenient for various equipment needs (amps, compressors, etc.). I give these headphones a true 5* and then some. HIGHLY recommend.
