I have purchased many different versions of locks to try and keep trailers from being stolen. Every single one has just felt like it was made cheap. Keys did not work very well and just difficult to put on and get off. I bought two 2” of these and two of the size up and by far for me it’s definitely the most well made and the easiest one by far to take off and put on. The fit for each was perfect. I also feel that a crook would have a heck of a time trying to get either lock off that comes together. I definitely like the two lock idea. The big one that slides on and the other just adds a little more protection.

I read many of the reviews that said these were cheap locks and wouldn’t buy. I decided to check it out anyway. I looked at many others as well and found that most had unrealistic expectations when it comes to these types of locks. This lock was very well made and operated completely as expected. If you are expecting something that can’t be defeated then put your stuff in a building with security and it can still be taken. If you’re looking to have a common thief move on to the next and leave your stuff alone then this works great. Easy to install, good weight, and very secure.

Seems like it's really sturdy and high quality but neither part fit on my 2 5/16" receiver.

This thing is awesome! It fit right on the tongue of my brand new 2024 33ft Rockwood Ultra-lite camper trailer and locked securely in place. It matches the paint and almost looks like it belongs there making it even more inconspicuous to a potential thief. This lock looks like it will do a great job keeping an honest man honest. When I first opened the box, I was impressed with how heavy the tongue lock was. It felt like it was made of something. It was a bit snug on my trailer's ball coupler. But that is not a fault of it, just a limitation of "universal fit". A couple taps here and there and it is on or off. The small top lock was less impressive, but I didn't need it anyways. Then I picked up the included key. Instantly I recognized the key. CH751. The key provided was not labelled as a 751, but I pulled one of the dozens I have and yep, it works perfectly. Yes, I did just tell you all what key opens this lock. ( or at least the one I received ) I was a locksmith for several years and then did telecom for a couple decades. The 751 key is the number one key I have ever come across. 85% of all telecom cabinets and truck toppers use this key. It is so simple; it can be picked with either a bent or broken paperclip. I believe a one-armed paperclip could pick this lock. Throw back: for those that remember the last millennium, there was a high profile hom!c!de case that revolved around the fact that the suspect had one of those keys on his keychain.

I received mine today and it looks great and is very sturdy. Unfortunately, it does not fit my 2022 Jay Flight by Jayco. The hitch below the flange is too low and won't allow the lock to slide on. Too bad, I really liked the way it looked.

I’m very happy with this lock kit. It’s well made and I trust that it’s keeping my trailer safely locked against my truck or when stand alone. Materials are strong and durable.
