Excellent cleaner for drip coffee makers. I have a Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker. Using Urnex regularly keeps it operating like new at 17 years old. If you have a high quality coffee brewer, using this every 100 brews keeps it like new. If you have a brewer that uses a cone (Melitta) coffee filter, just buy 100 quantity filter packs and use each time you open a new filter box.

My cold brew coffee maker’s filter was clogged & wouldn’t strain the grounds out much anymore.. It would take a good 15 min to drain and was pretty frustrating when trying to get my morning coffee for work.. I found this product that claims to dissolve the buildup that clogs your filter.. I was a little skeptical that it would work without submerging in “boiling water” which I didn’t want to do for fear of damaging the rubber seal that goes around the top of my filter.. I have to say that this product worked much better than anticipated by simply soaking in a solution of boiling water brought to boiling & removed from the heat.. I soaked my filter for about 15 - 20 minutes & brushed out the mesh with an old toothbrush.. it’s as good as new now & I am very impressed with its ability to dissolve the coffee oils that buildup during brewing many pots of coffee over time.. GREAT PRODUCT & highly recommended.. safe for anything that comes in contact with food (utensils, coffee makers, cold brewers, etc).. rinses clean very easily & no taste or stains left behind.. give it a try.

I will forever use this for my coffee pots. No weird smell, clear, easy to use. Box comes with 2 packets of cleaning powder. I opted to use one at a time. I used vinegar first, as I used to always go, ran it through twice and went through the rinsing but it didn't seem to get much out or make it faster. Used this and the first pot that ran through was BLACK. Like a fresh pot of coffee. After using vinegar TWICE. second run was just water to rinse and it had all the floaties in the carafe. Barf. Third and forth rinse much much faster, both crystal clear and the coffee pot is back to normal. Very happy with this product. Never realized that coffee was greasy? Definitely worth it.

The cleaner is great!

Used this only my drip coffee maker … it is extremely soapy and difficult to get out of the holding tank of my moccamaster. It is on rinse cycle number ten and the pot is still filling with soapy colored water. I might recommend you consider another brand

I learned about this product when I was working for a very popular coffee chain. We used to use this to clean the urns and other metal items. It worked so well that when I needed a coffee maker cleaner, I automatically thought of this product. I purchased this two or three times in the last few years, but I have since found a less expensive alternative which works just as well. I think this is a great product depending on your needs.

This along with a thousand other variations of a similar product works very well, and for a fairly cheap price. Almost every descaler is a mild acid solution, or powder to make a solution. There is very little difference between one or the other. In the past I have used name brand liquid variations which are of course, extremely convenient . . . but the final cost is way above what this powder costs. A bit of warm water, a little time stirring (or shaking) your concoction . . . and all set. Does a good job, at a very reasonable price. Skip the liquids, skip the designer brands . . . this does just as well.

I run the cleaner through my expresso machine and I was surprised to see how many accumulated particles came out after single cycle. I use only filtered water and service machine regularly and yet what I saw in the water surprized me. I think this descailer worked magic.
