Well designed, fun, and tons of cool details!
Whether you bought this as a playset for a child or as an adult collectible, you definitely get your money’s worth! The set comes unassembled and it takes between 60 to 90 minutes to put together. The construction process might be a little daunting for children, but not problem for adults. If you enjoy assembling LEGO, you’ll enjoy the click-clack of putting the walls and windows up. Several stickers are included to give the furniture and Ghostbusters’ gear color and character. Included figures: Egon Spengler in lab gear; Janine Melnitz in Ghostbusters II neon lime skirt; Louis Tully possessed as Vinz Clortho; Ray Stantz with proton pack; the Library Ghost from the beginning of Ghostbusters. Fun details include dozens of furniture and equipment accessories for the firehouse. Janine’s office is fully fleshed out with lamp, computer (“Print is dead.”), and phone (“We got one!”). The research lab features lab tables, beakers, flasks, microscope, EKG/PKE readout machine, camcorder on tripod, cabinets, and a monitor featuring the spectral image of a Terror Dog (“Yes, have some!”). The garage level has the play feature that I enjoy the most: the Ecto Containment Unit. You can absolutely place a Ghost Trap inside to incarcerate ghosts into their custom-made storage facility! The garage door slides up and down for the Ecto-1 (not included) to drive in or out, and the firepole gets the Ghostbusters from Janine’s office to the garage level in a zip! This Playmobil set reminds me of the old Kenner firehouse released in the 1980’s, yet it features far more details and accessories. It is solidly-built and looks great. If bustin’ makes you feel good, this set is highly recommended!

It was hard to put together, but the build quality size cut, and value for my money was awesome

The best Ghostbusters play set ever
As a kid i had the Real Ghostbusters fire house and it was pretty lame compared to this. My youngest son(5) loves the first Ghostbusters and only the first. The entire set is his most played with toys. His older brother(6) typically does not play with toys but he is now hooked on Playmobil. He is asking for the Ghostbusters 2 car now. As a parent it is such a cool firehouse that takes about an hour to assemble from unboxing if you take your time. My boys have had hundreds of hours of imaginary play and include the city toys and use their tablets to make little movies of the adventures of the Ghostbusters. To top it off Playmobil really did research here. Down to small details. But whats truly amazing is its durable. He has had the entire set for a year and nothing has broke. If you are on the fence get it. It works as a model if you're into that, but is one heck of a toy.

Great Ghostbusters Firehouse set with great accessories and five figures: Spengler, Tully, Janine, Stantz and Library Ghost
This was a really fun set to build. It took an evening (interspersed with watching a bit of the movie to set the mood) and can be done by an older child or a younger one with some adult help. There are 228 pieces to the set, including small components and stickers. This set was made in Germany. The figures included are Spengler (in regular clothes), Stantz in his Ghostbusters uniform, Janine in her regular clothes and Tully. There are six sets available right now and if you buy all of them, you will get all of the Ghostbuster characters in uniform (including Janine.) The figures have swivel heads, swinging arms, can bend to sit and stand on their own. The firehouse is really sensational for play. It is an open concept with the outside on one side and the inside on the other. There are three floors with the bottom floor able to house the Ecto-1 which is sold separately. I'll include photos to show the figures and accessories, and different angles and floors of the firehouse. There is a huge list of accessories, including a proton pack and wand, ghost trap, PKE meter for measuring psychokinetic energy, four green slime splatters that really do stick to flat and smooth surfaces and lots of furniture and equipment plus a really eat pizza box that opens with a removable pizza inside.

Awesome toy, but takes a long time to build.
The box arrived damaged, which is a bummer bc this is a birthday present and it wasn’t cheap, (we paid $52.). I assembled the firehouse myself and it wasn’t exactly hard, it was just very time consuming because none of the bags of pieces were labeled or really grouped together in any order of building. I was constantly searching for the next tiny piece. It took me TWO full hours to build this w/o any breaks or interruptions. I would not recommend building this with kids around. There are WAY too many pieces and I can’t imagine how long it would take with kids “helping!” The box says that this takes one hour to build. I’m assuming that’s only if you work for Playmobil. Lol Our 5 year old son is going to love this. I can’t wait to see his face when he opens it in the morning! FYI: I wrapped the empty box and hid the firehouse bc it will not even come close to fitting in the box. I’ll pull out the firehouse after he unwraps the box. Our son likes to see the pictures on boxes to see ideas of how you can set it up.

Fantastic fun!
This was really fun to build with my child, the pieces snap together nice and easy, it’s not a challenge to put it together which is why it kept my kid more engaged in doing it. When finished, it looked really cool and my kiddo regularly plays with it. We also got the car separately which is a must have, it fits nicely in the station. If I had one thing I would like to have seen, it would have been a roof that you can remove, there seems to be a slot at the top for it but unfortunately no roof. One concern, so many little bitty pieces come with it, easy to lose very quick.

Whoever bagged this was evil
Pro: The product is good. My child loved the set. There is a great amount detail. It is super fun. No regrets for the final purchase. Cons: They lie. It took an hour and a half to put together not the 60 minutes promised. So what happens is that you sit there working feverishly to finish building it before your kid wakes up. The bagger works for Satan. You open it up and there are like 15 different bags. You think okay great, they have them bagged for different steps or like colors. Nope. To do one step you will have to search through various bags pulling out multiple pieces from different bags. No rhyme or reason. Even something as simple as the firebell is in two different bags. Other than that the instructions are pretty simple. Give yourself more time, a large space and just open and sort the bags at the beginning because there is no point.
