These are great. If your do chews through balls, these are perfect for them. The rubber is thick and they hold up well

This ball is very tough, but still flexible enough to squeeze (and cause a squeak) with one hand. It has withstood an onslaught of teeth from a very strong chewer without cracking/flaking/peeling, as well as countless tug of wars between two dogs. Although its a good size for a football its not very dense (so you can't throw it as far as you would think you could), but that is an incredibly minor complaint. The dogs loved this ball so much that I ordered a second one just so that they could each have their own.

Several years ago, back when I only had one GSD, I'd found this football at a local pet store. My girl LOVED it and it quickly became her favorite toy. Over several years, and the addition of another shepherd, I'd gone though three or four of them until the store stopped carrying it and I couldn't find them anymore. Well, on a whim I decided to check Amazon and was elated to see they carried them! Somebody was gonna get new footballs for Christmas!! I ordered the large, figuring that was the size I'd bought in the past. As it would turn out, I had previously purchased the medium size I guess because when these two large ones arrived, they were much bigger. They're still a hit though!My youngest shepherd LOOOVES playing football with Mommy. She's a strange pup, she likes to have a toy with her when she eats, and will come bring me a ball to throw so she can fetch it then run past me (while I try to "tackle" her) and go straight to the food bowl. She'll plop the ball down next to her dish and grab a few bites of food then it's game time again. They have several different toys to choose from but at least 50% of the time, it's this football that she brings me to play with.It's size makes it big enough for both of us to have a grip on it without me losing a finger. The material is very flexible yet strong. We've been playing with it several times a day since they got them from "Santa Paws" and there are no holes yet.I will warn you though, it is LOUD! If you dog is like mine and likes to squeak on something while you're talking on the phone, be prepared to flee the room!! Haha.. you won't be able to hear over it... but they love the sound so much I don't have the heart to tell them to stop.Overall, I'm really happy Amazon carries these now since they were getting impossible to find in my local pet stores. The girls missed their old footballs and are really happy to have these newer, bigger ones. I'll keep buying them as needed for as long as they continue to make them.

I have 2 great Danes, Kawliga is 2yrs old at 150lbs and Moko is 1yr old at 120lbs. This football (as with all JW natural rubber products) are extremely durable. They will play tug of war, gnaw, paw, pounce, and roll on this ball and it still stands up to their abuse. Naturally the squeaker doesn't last as long but still does a great job standing up to the power of the jaws of such large animals.This item is 4 months old and still withstanding the power of their chompers. 99% of the time they play tug of war with it. Twisting and bending the ball over and over. One can only imagine the power that is exerted on the ball during these matches. The ball has some small breaks in it but has never had any pieces come off.JW natural rubber products are the only thing I buy (also have 8 round balls 2 bowling pins and 1 large bone) for my Danes and all of them withstand the power of these two animals.The squeaker lasted about 3 months on the funball and 2-3 weeks on other items. One good thing about the squeaker is when it comes off it falls inside the item so they can't get it to swallow.I highly recommend any JW products as a valuable purchase. One of the reasons is because it made from natural rubber instead of plastic.

I love this toy because my dog loves this toy. My 1.5 year old german shepherd is obsessed with this ball. I found one at a Marshalls when he was a puppy and he quickly became obsessed. I figured I should have a backup football in case we lost the original since he takes it almost everywhere. I have purchased a total of five of these footballs from Amazon.Pros:-Low price-Like chewing gum for dogs. My dog loves to sink his teeth into the football. The rubber is moderately durable but squishy, so my pup gets to actively chew on something without eating it almost like a human chewing on a piece of gum.-Longevity - my dog will make this ball last for 4-6 months at a time, which is pretty good for a dog who rips apart a tennis ball within minutes.-Easy to clean. Even when the squeaker pops out of the ball there is a small hole where water can drain out easily. We take this ball in all types of weather and mud easily washes off with a water rinse.Cons:-The squeaker dies very quickly. Because my dog uses this ball like a pacifier, the squeaker wears out or pops out quickly. Even without the squeaker the ball is still a hit.-Not a great tug toy. My dog still likes to play tug with it, but rip seams appear after a few days of this.Overall, I highly recommend! Yes, my dog uses this ball like his pacifier, but even if your dog is just a casual user of this ball he or she will definitely love it!P.S. I have a large dog but always order the medium size.

My dog LOVES these balls. But, be cautious that the squeezer gets dislodged within minutes by your average medium sized dog. And can get swallowed if not observant. I pulled them out with needle nose pliers, from bouncing inside the ball. One actually came out in pieces on its own.

... and the fact that it has a 'weep hole' asides the 'squeaker hole' is great because she loves drowning it in her puppy-pool and that hole makes it easy to drain ... the only thing that I was surprised of that it came in green .. I recall the picture shows it in blue .. but the dog doesn't care :)
