These are built solid and best part is that both units are keyed alike. I want to protect my investment and keep my boat from being stolen.I know some have complained that the Lock Plate Assembly can be broken into easily. Weigh Safe changed it from an Allen Screw to a driven pin it looks like. Someone said with a drill bit it could easily be broken into. Come on guys - if the person wants to steal it then they will figure out a way to do just that. My solution to deter them just a bit more was I just the holes with clear silicone seal. If someone wants to steal it they will have to lay on their back under the truck to access the backside of the Lock Plate Assembly, remove the silicone, drill out the pin and not have someone come by and ask them what they are doing. Not too likely a thief is going to take that risk.

Very well made and easy to use. Keyed alike for these two locks only, NOT universal as some others have stated. The only reason why I didn’t give five stars is that for this price point they should include a new pin dust cover, which they don’t.

Bought this as a "spare", but delighted that both the hitch pin lock and the Hitch "Slide" lock are keyed the same .. only one key needed to work both units. Came with 4 keys (I'm guessing 2 for the Hitch Slide lock, 2 for the hitch pin lock) so I should have all the spares I need.

Good protection with 1 key. The only thing that I didn't like is that the hitch pin is a little long, made for 3in reciever. It doesn't jiggle, so I guess it's not too bad of a gripe.

You can see from the pic (after talking to customer service) that the new design hitch pin is different than advertised, it now has a large diameter knob on the non-locking end. The lock is also fairly large in diameter. Both sides do not clear the weld next the hole that the pin slides through, and won't allow it to fully engage the lock. This receiver is on my 2013 Silverado 2500 HD. I would ensure that your hitch pin hole has plenty of clearance around it before buying this.

Works well as long as you keep the lock on the locking hitch pin lubed if it is fitted on the truck all the time. It gets dry really quick and will fail to open. The face of the hitch pin had a large gash from the milling process. It doesn't affect the operation, but I don't think that it should have made it out of the factory QC process looking like it does.

I really like how the hitch lock and the ball lock are keyed the same. So far, The locks seem to hold up well. The round key stands out on my key ring as well.

Now I have a spare dual pin that I really don't need, but it is very handy having both the dual pin lock and the receiver lock use the same key.

I purchased this, like many others, to have the locks keyed alike. Yes it sucks that now we have a spare set that is pretty much useless, but the convenience is worth it. I have the 3" shank and the locking pin fits through my 2017 Ford 350 hitch. ALSO, mine DID come with the spare rubber key hole cover!

Kinda worried the locking double pin will seize up as there is no plastic cap to protect it, like the hitch pin. Where i live winter/salt/sand is 6 months a yr.Otherwise, works good, looks good, came quick!
