I only wish I tried this sooner!
I've had KP on my upper arms ever since childhood and nothing ever helped. Although it's gotten milder in my adulthood it has shown up in more places i.e. on the sides of my neck and hips. After using it twice a day for less than a week I started seeing a very noticable difference. My skin bumps got completely smoothed down and the redness went away.I found it works best when your skin is well-dried (which is sometimes hard to achieve if you live somewhere humid like I do). So instead of applying out of the shower, I wait until my skin is completely dry. It does cause a slight tingling sensation and has a unique smell but both dissipate quickly. Sometimes it creates a thin layer on the surface of the skin but it's not uncomfortable and feels like a protective barrier. The tube looks small tube but a little goes a long way. I only wish I tried this ages ago!

Odd smell
Smells like maple syrup, but as long as you consistently use this, it really does work. We use it at night after showering, the smell doesn’t last long. Use small amounts! Very thick.

Great for KP! 👍
I've been using this AmLactin cream for my keratosis pilaris (those pesky bumps on my arms), and I'm really liking it so far! It's from a brand I trust, and it has a nice, light scent. The cream itself is a bit thick, but it absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. The only downside is that the tube is pretty small for the price, but hopefully, it'll last a while. I'm optimistic that it'll help clear up my KP! 🤞

The only thing that has helped my skin in almost 20 years
I developed kp when I was 5, 18 years ago. My mom and I tried everything besides amputating. I saw this lotion on TikTok and gave it a try. I immediately saw and felt a difference within two days. My arms have never been this soft. The only downsides are the cat litter smell and how long it takes to rub in and spread around, but it's so worth it to not have to be insecure about my skin anymore. Even my scarring from years of compulsively picking at my skin is starting to fade after about a month of use. I do notice my arms start to get a little rough again if I go more than two days forgetting to use this lotion, but that just solidifies to me that this stuff really works and isn't just a fluke.

Severe KP on arms! Smoother skin, but still red - 2 WEEK REVIEW
EDIT: 3/29/24 - I gave up!I stopped using this about 2 weeks ago. I used this very consistently for about 9 weeks with absolutely no difference in the redness on my arms, which was my biggest reason for trying this. I gave up. I still have a decent amount of product left in the bottle, so if it works for you, it should last a while. I've come to the conclusion that lactic acid based products do not work for me. I've since started using retinol cream and Selsun Blue on my arms (google it).~I've had KP for about 10 years. It's been bad the past 7 or so years. They say it goes away in your late 20s/early 30s, but I'll be 34 this year and it's just getting worse. I've tried SO many things and decided to give this a try bc its affordable. First off, it is TTTTHICK and does indeed smell like maple syrup. The smell isn't off-putting to me, and it does go away, but that is the initial scent. Much better than some of the other KP lotions I've tried so smelling like pancakes for 15 mins is no biggie. My worst KP is on my arms (bumpy and VERY red). The redness is the worst part for me. For years, I've put makeup on my arms before big events and I've tried to cover my arms when possible bc its embarrassing and I'm very self-conscious about it. I've been using this for 2 weeks. My skin is noticeably softer, less bumps but the redness hasn't changed at all. I do use exfoliating gloves in the shower and I put this on my arms immediately after showering (on damp skin for better absorption). I've always exfoliated using other brand lotions as well and got similar results. Again, the redness is my biggest issue and so far, in 2 weeks, no change yet. I'm very consistent, using twice per day, everyday. I'll update this if the redness changes.Overall, if bumps are your main problem, give this a try. Its more affordable than other brands and with exfoliating, you will see less bumps quickly.

it actually works
worked remarkably fast. noticeable difference within like two or three applications. smells weird for sure but i found that it dissipates quickly. i use it on my bumpy spots then use a more pleasant smelling regular lotion everywhere else.

STRONG smell, thick cream
This has a STRONG smell, that persists for quite a while. It's a thick cream and feels nice, but due to the odor I have not used it consistently enough to tell how effective it could be for KP. It does make my skin soft and seems to reduce the bumps somewhat, so I would think that consistent use would give better results, but I can only speculate. I plan to use up the bottle (for nighttime or in home use only!), but I'll be looking for something else for daily use.
