Great coffee with no effort and easy cleanup.
This is such a great coffee device, combining filter pour-over and steeping. It's also effort-free. You don't have to apply pressure like an Aeropress or a French press, you don't have grounds to sop up, and you don't get mud. This is my second Dripper, as I brought one to work and it was, um, liberated from me. This new style is a little fancier on the aesthetics, but the same great valve function. I would advise some care in cleaning. You do not want to get solid particles inside the valve mechanism as it could cause it to either clog up or leak. But just use some care when removing the filter and you should have no problem. For this reason I only use paper filters, not one of those perma-filters with the fine metal mesh, because some particles always get through.

Easy but efficient for good coffee!
I had a similar item years ago but got rid of it when swamped with chemex, aero press, single drip cones, etc... All these work just fine but I wanted something that was a single mug's (12oz) capacity as that was all I drink on a daily basis. This clever dripper fit that bill and I have enjoyed its simplicity and good performance ever since. The build is very good and sturdy and I use the #4 cone with it, but you could use a #2. Very easy to rinse out when finished and a thorough clean once a week. Also love this light-coffee-colored-plastic as the one I had before did eventually stain from coffee so I'm one step ahead this time. You get 12-14 oz out of this and maybe 16oz that it claims but coffee grounds take some space.

Works great!
Bought this as a more convenient alternative to my French press. Where I am currently staying it is much easier (as in less messy) to dump out the spent coffee grounds in the paper filter than trying to get dig them out of my French press. Also, I am planning to use this at work, and being lighter and less fragile than the glass of my french press, it will be more convenient there too. Using my coffee grinder is also not feasible either at work or my current living arrangement, and this works better with pre-ground drip filter coffee the does a French press. I like it well enough that I might just get a second one, so I have one for home and one for work. One drawback, from my perspective, is that I do generally prefer the heavier mouthfeel and and flavor that results from the coarser metal filter in a French press vs a paper filter, but that of course will be different for different people. Another consideration is that you might want to make suer the coffee cup you intend to use with it is narrow enough. It fits perfectly on a standard 12 ounce mug, however, as they Clever Dripper can make 18 ounces of coffee, I tried to use it with a larger cup, but it was too wide. So if you want use this for single 18 ounce cup, it should be tall and narrow, rather than short and wide.

Great brand, great brew!
I was introduced to this filtered immersion brewing method on a trip and couldn't wait to buy one once I got home. It is now my preferred morning method- it has the richness of a French Press but smoothed out by filtering and with little to no cleanup. Even Hoffman says so! I follow his method and add my grounds after the water, giving a light stir after a minute, for easier draining. All you need is a standard kettle, no gooseneck required. Could possibly be used for pour-overs too? Spend the money on this original brand, the quality is worth it! Quick shipping.

Fine, but worse than v60
I messed with this thing for months, and ended up going back to my V60.Overall this is fine and makes good enough coffee. But compared to cheaper, smaller devices, it simply can't compete.Pros:-Don't have to stand around and carefully manage a poorCons:-Harder to get good coffee than a v60-Bigger and more annoying to clean than a v60-The valve on the bottom gets stuck sometimes and dumps coffee all over your counter. Yeah. It sucks.Save your money, get a plastic v60 and never look back.

Just buy it
Got a great cup on the first try, this immersion dripper is easy and produces a cup which I find to be better than french press or other drippers I tried. It’s a no brainer for this price.
