Im a big skeptic of Abreva (docusanol) because it has you applying it like every 2 hours for maybe a 1 day faster healing time. Like, I used Lysine+ (a lip ointment type treatment from Quantum Health) in a similar manner with the same results. And Lysine+ is way cheaper than Abreva.So, I pored over the reviews for this product before getting it. I ended up trying it out, and this is another cold sore product I will always always always keep in my house. (The other is compeed cold sore patches). This stuff stops my cold sores in its tracks. If I catch the cold sore early enough, just one application is sufficient. Once I gave the cold sore too much time to bake and it was on like day 3 or 4, so I applied it once for 2 days in a row. Worked like a charm.Its not magic though, the cold sore still has to do its nasty business and heal, but personally, the cold sore doesnt get more than like 5% worse before heading straight to healing. If you know your cold sore cycles, I think you'll know what I mean.

This was my first time purchasing; and it is one of the best products I've used so far to help speed up the drying and healing process. I also appreciate the numbing/pain relief this product provides. I would love to have this formula in a larger container to be able to use at home with a q-tip/cotton applicator and to have these mini cartridges for travel and on the go convenience. At any rate, I will definitely be purchasing again to have on hand for the next miserable, cursed outbreak.
