Stop With The White People Bashing
I'm 41% into the book, and like usual, I like the author's style. But please, can we do without the white people bashing? It doesn't bring anything to the story. Like I said, I'm 41% in and I've come across 2 places where white people are bashed. Enough.

AVOID Not as advertised
NOT a beach read. All about a rape and revenge 20 plus years later. The description is woefully misleading. One of the top 5 worst books I have ever read.

Disappointing
I’m so disappointed in this book- nothing that I’ve come to expect from this author- no wit no comedy, no intelligence, but a forced story to reflect current events with a political leaning. This is not the wit and charisma of good in bed or her other wonderful stories. Don’t buy if you’re expecting something of that nature, if you want a #metoo story this is for you, just not the usual from this author and I wish I didn’t bother with the purchase

A Waste of Time and Money
I am a loyal J.W. fan -- I've read EVERY novel she has written but this one is AWFUL! The plot is disjointed and unbelievable. It takes the main character 40 years to find out who raped her? She doesn't even know what she wants to do when she confronts him. If I wanted a lecture on the Me Too Movement, I'd read a newspaper. I go to novels to be entertained and perhaps learn something new. I also thought her VERY thinly disguised treatment of Judge Kavanagh was unfair. Please remember that conservatives buy books as well. If you are going to trash someone's reputation in your writing, please try to be fair. This is the last Weiner novel I will buy.

Different for Jennifer Weiner - Disappointing Political Position
I am a big Jennifer Weiner fan. I have read every one of her books. I enjoy her characters, relationships and humor. However this book's is humorless as the topic does not lend itself to Ms. Weiner usual humor. Having said that I enjoyed the characters and plot development and twists. The story is ripe and topical for the #metoo movement but gravely misrepresents the Brett Kavanaugh allegations and Senate Judiciary Supplemental hearings. It was extremely disappointing to have political posturing in a fiction setting. It definitely distracted from the tragic and serious topic.

Excellent treatment of an ongoing horror for women
The short and long term devastating, life-altering impact of rape was treated realistically in this book. This book should be required reading for all high school and college students. I wish every rape survivor in the real world had a Michael character to love them through their healing. So glad this fictional character did.PS I wish the despicable Hal character would have fallen down those six flights of stairs

What am I missing??
I'm seriously confused. So: Daisy/Diana receives an email party invitation that's actually meant for a different Diana. But when she hits reply and says "wrong Diana", the Diana it was meant for RESPONDS with "sorry". So the Diana it was meant for is the one who actually SENT the email? I'm only a small fraction into the book, the two Dianas are conversing via email or the first time , but I can't understand what's happening. Why is someone sending a party invitation to themselves? I wish someone could explain this.

Disappointed
You had me until you slandered Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh. Ashamed for you. Not up to your usual standards. It will be a long while if ever before I spend my hard earned money to purchase another of your books

A gripping read
I found this a very good story. It felt different to her usual style but I really liked it. Just to let people know, it features sexual assult.

Cape Cod and more
Lovely cape cod locations are in the background of this engrossing tale of long lost teenage summers and current teen tantrums…

Naja.
