How do you calibrate the thermometer to the correct temperature?

Stuck on my window for a few months then popped off and broke. Bought this one in January 2015. Still stuck on my kitchen window!

Hadn't given that a thought. My window is also thermopane. The thermometer is mounted on the outside window and there is a space between the suction cup and the pane of glass. I would say it is pretty accurate. I am satisfied with the product for the price because it is easy to read and not obtrusive.

will the Taylor Outdoor Stick Thermometer also function indoors?

No, I tested it with 2 other thermometers, indoors and outdoors. Taylor Thermometer simply is a waste of money. It is not accurate at all.
