For some reason I really like a gel handled brush. My last gel handled brush had grooves and much nicer to hold even my grand daughter loved it. But this one is nice very sturdy and the bristles move easily and comes through snarly hair good without hurting and kind of massages the scalp too. I would buy it again.

Love this brush for combing and detangling my natural hair. Arrived sooner than expected. I couldn't be happier.

I've used these Goody brushes with the gel grip handles for many years. Always been happy with them - no complaints and they're comfortable to hold. Works well with regular brushing and with blow-dry styling. My disappointment is that the price has gone up but nothing else changed/improved! And it wasn't just a slight price increase- went up a few dollars which, for this item is a BIG percentage increase. Still using them but regretting that I have to spend more than I'd prefer for a hairbrush.

The is also the most comfortable brush that I have ever used. The bristles have a medium amount of flex, and they will not scratch your scalp. Purchased for my lovely wife who has collar length hair, this brush allows her to always look her very best. I strongly recommend this brush, especially for persons still using a comb. This brush will not pull or break your hair, and fits exceptionally well in the hand. Safe for all ages.

I needed a new cushion brush to replace my old Goody. Goody cushion brushes were sold out at the time, so I bought the Conair brush. That was a mistake. When I tried it, my hair was immediately full of static. So I tried the old Goody brush again and, sure enough, no static to speak of. So even though the Goody brush was sold out, I placed the order and waited. It arrived 6 weeks earlier than expected. And I was relieved that it was as good as the old one, causing virtually no static.My only suggestion to Goody would be to eliminate the gel handle. It's very squishy which makes me wonder if it will last very long. For the low price, though, I don't mind buying a brush more often if it doesn't make my hair stand up :-)

I ordered this brush for my husband, to replace a far-too-old different Goody brush whose bristles have seen better days. The image shows a black hairbrush, and the description refers to it as Red. I received a very bubblegum/baby pink brush. This is not the brush my husband wants to use, now. :(
