This cushion folds in half so it travels well to use on bleachers or in a car or plane seat. It is very comfortable and has the option to be used cold or heated. I have gifted it to others who have had sciatica or issues with sitting for any length of time, and they have all got relief with it.

I first heard of Lava Buns from a friend who let us borrow theirs when we went to a high school football game. They worked great. The top of the seat opens up and inside is one large gel pack. We microwaved it for 2 minutes each side and then you put it back inside the padded cushion. It stayed warm the entire game and the padded seat is comfortable and fit well on top of a bleacher seat (with back) that we used. The navy blue color is also nice.If you purchase these, read the instructions carefully. Following the microwave guidelines will help keep your Lava Buns in perfect condition without destroying them (over cooking makes them unusable and leak). Our friends have had theirs for many years with no issues.They are compact and fold in half to be easily carried. They also do not take up a lot of space to store.

My son is on Marching Band and I attend all of the games and competitions that he competes in. I HATE to be cold so I went on a search at the beginning of the season for something like this. I knew what I wanted, but I wanted to be sure to pick a product that had good reviews and was reasonably priced....this is it!! I transport them in an insulated tote bag that I purchased from Costco. I have two Lava Buns and I put them in the bag with a blanket nestled between them so when I get cold, I have a toasty warm seat AND a toasty warm blanket! Taking travel time into consideration, I have kept these closed up on the bag for 4 hours before using them and they are still VERY warm! Once they hit the cold air, they only stay warm for a couple of hours though. I love this product and I recommend it on a weekly basis to all of the cold parents sitting in the stands with me.

No USB plugs, no cords. This heated seat has a core you place in the microwave for 2 minutes to generate the heat. It stays hot, or at least fairly warm for 3 to 4 hours, enough time for most sports events. You can also put the core in the freezer overnight to have a "cold seat" for those hot summer sports events.I bought this to replace a 30-year-old similar product that was lost when it was left it in a restaurant. The core of the lava buns is similar to my old product; however, the seat does not have as much padding. This does not seem to make a significant difference. I was very pleased to find this as i get tired of plugging things in and waiting hours for them to recharge.Take a page from the past and leave the cord behind! Your warm tushy will thank you!

This product works extremely well in keeping my backside very cozy. It stays very warm for hours, I think because when I'm sitting on it my own body heat retains some of the heat of the heat-pack enclosed inside the nylon, padded cover. In any case, I love this product. I heat up the insides, and then take it to my car (I live near Cleveland, OH), put it on my seat and can keep very warm until the heater in the car is revved up. I take this product with me to meetings or restaurants and manage to stay warm when others my age (I'm almost 65) are cold.

Love this lava buns! Definitely my best friend in cold weather and it’s easy to bring it anywhere!

I received one of these as a gift. I honestly did not think I would be using very much. My wife was the first to try it out at our daughters soccer game. She heated it on both sides for the amount of time it required. I did not think it would do much since it was close to an hour before she would even be able to use it. When she unfolded it, it was still hot. Not warm, Hot! The heat provided was the perfect solution to the terribly cold aluminum bleacher seats. Additionally, they are more than just warm they make the hard seats like sitting on a nice pillow. I immediately ordered 3 more of these. One for myself, since the wife was not giving this one up and 2 for the grandparents so I wouldn't feel guilty being super warm and so comfortable on those cold miserable stadium seats.
