It is VERY bright!
200 lumens doesn’t sound that much, but man, is it very bright! During my trip to Havasupai when we were hiking down towards the campsite at 4am, I had the brightest headlamp in the group - could literally go for a few hundred feet in visibility. At nights in the campsite, I still had literally the brightest light out there - it was way brighter than all the lamps people brought to their picnic tables, and at 7pm, it gets really dark. From the canyon, I can point the lamp at the tip of the ridge and still see it from where I was standing!Only downside to this is that I couldn’t adjust the brightness of the darn thing and I felt like an a****** walking around camp at midnight to go to the restroom and unavoidably point the lamp at someone’s hammock/tent - I really needed the light because I kept tripping on the rocky terrain.

Great product
This thing was a bit temperamental when I first got it and I was going to immediately return it. It kept shutting off, not going on, But I believe it was because it needed to be fully charged. Since the first time I charged it fully, it has worked great. This light is strong. I used it out in my backyard the other day where it is pitch black and this thing threw a beam of light I can see all the way up against the trees (50 feet high). The only thing that I dont care for is the mode where the light shuts on/off with a wave of your hand. But my 3 & 4 yeard olds kids get a kick out of it..

Bonus motion sensor that I wasn't aware of!
Starting with 4 stars, as it's a gift. I'll update later. That said, straight out of package(small box). Basic plastic bag, charging cord sitting in box. Doesn't come with wall charger, but that's fine bc most people have plenty anyway.Seems great. One surprise that I don't recall seeing in other reviews, is that one setting is motion detection. At first, I thought it was broke. Then I read the box again. Pretty neat, I think it should be a great way to save on the usage time, and I'm pretty sure my step dad is gonna love it!

This light is awesome
I have about 10 headlamps and this is by far the best. The rechargeable battery so far has a several hour run time, I recharge it after every couple of hunts just because I don't want to be left in the woods with a dead battery. The light is bright with a nice spot light beam but enough of a flood light to see the edges of your vision. It's so bright I usually just use the dim mode while going in or out of the woods. It's lightweight and works good with a ball cap or bare head.

Great little headlamp
Just used this over the weekend for camping trip and love it. Just mad I did not buy one of these sooner. Makes life so much easier to be hands-free when in the woods preparing and eating dinner. Also light is really bright when on high really lights up the forest. ***Update Feb 13, 2019*** Light still going strong and battery life still great. Do I really take care of my things, Yes! But with proper care and this just wrapped around your head during occasional camping trips this light will last you for years.***

Unhappy with the functionality of this headlamp
There are several things I like about this headlamp, but I purchased it to protect my night vision and to use the functionality of the motion sensor to turn it on and off. Unfortunately the motion sensor only turns on the white lamp, even if you have the red lamp set as the active lamp. In other words, if you have the red lamp on to protect your dark adaptation, and wave your hand in front of the lamp, it turns on the white light. Goodbye dark adaptation. It would be great if the motion sensor would turn on and off the light that is set to be active. Then it would work great.

Great for those who like astrophotography
So the main light is bright and the dim is good enough to not kill your eyes at night when you do your set up. The red light is perfect for getting things tweaked or checking the status of stuff while your camera is taking pictures. It's not too bright and won't mess anything up. This is a great item for anyone with that kind of hobby.

Good light. Will let you see in the dark like a magician.
Worth it. Get one unless you have some kind of high end preference. I bought two bc of the price and I was very happy when I found how bright is. Pretty sick.
