Are they good for glockenspiels?

Yes it is a good all round mic for instruments.

Does this mic pick up low end?

For me, the several times I've used it on stage as mic for guitar amp (6 string acoustic and electric), it seems to pick up both low and high frequencies just fine.

I want to mic an acoustic piano. Is it good for that?

I believe this mic is geared more to the direct signal of an electric guitar amp speaker. It could be used for piano, but you may want to check into other Neumann or AKG models, and consider two mics also.

Plan on recording with a band soon in a less than ideal space, will this be better at preventing bleeding sound from the drums than a 57?

Yes, it picks up less sound from the sides than a 57 because its super cardioid pattern and the design of the mic head you can get it really close up on the speaker, so you should get less bleed from other sounds in the room. It does pick up a little sound from directly behind it (since that's how super cardioid works) but as long as the drums are directly behind it, it should be good.
