I'm planning I'm going for hajj this year, which means I'll end up spending 3-4 days only wearing sandals and walking around for a few miles every day in the burning heat of Saudi Arabia. So my criteria for new sandals were: 1- comfortable and fit well especially around the toes 2- non slippery bottom 3- sturdy build I wear size 10 shoes in Adidas always, but when I tried on several reef sandals I ended up sizing up to 11 since a 10 seemed to fit tight at the toes and short around the heels (unless I pushed my feet forward). Now I also expect with heat and walking distances that my feet will get slightly swollen and need some play room to grow into. Reef just didn't feel to fit right though, despite all the outside I heard from friends that praised the brand. My 7 year old was listening to me talk about the sandals and he asks "what exactly are you looking for baba?". I jokingly replied that I'm looking for "hiking sandals" since I'm already purchasing a lot of camping gear for my upcoming trip. He jumps on his tablet, and types the exact words, and voila: this Teva sandal shows up! From the description it seemed others reported that it fit slightly larger/wider and the bottoms looked indeed like those on my hiking shoes ... so I purchased it instantly. Having tried it last night, I can say the fit is perfect for my feet (an Adidas size 10), and covers my foot pretty well. It feels very enjoyable to walk in those sandals and very comfortable. I have one concern regarding how the glued parts would withstand the burning heat in Saudi Arabia, but that will be verified very soon. I'll come back to update this review early October after my trip.

This is my 5th pair of Teva Sandals. The first two were Pajaro's, then I want to Katavi, and now I'm trying Pajaro again. Pros: Great arch support, super durable yet light, great tread. I hike and play at the beach for a living, and until I started doing this, these sandals would last for years. Even now, it takes a solid year of daily miles on pavement, trails, and sand to wear these things down. They TEND to be comfortable right out of the box, and will last a very long time. CON: This might just be me...but this new pair wasn't as snug as the last 4. I even had Amazon replace them, since up until now, all Teva's have fit me like a glove. Sadly, the replacement was also a big on the large side. Note, it's not enough for them to slip off or anything; we're talking maybe 5% larger than I'm used to. I still took them immediately on vacation to Cleveland and Pittsburgh, where I walked around the cities for miles wearing the Parajo's, and had no issues whatsoever. They didn't slip off, no rubbing, they felt fine. So, really, this might just be my feet shrinking or something!

Excellent flip flops - comfortable and easy to wear

These are worth their weight in gold. I had foot problems and was not able to walk without wearing these. The support they provided while I worked on the problem is invaluable. The quality is just unparalleled and solid. Strongly recommend this pair for anyone looking for quality footwear. Some might feel that they are a bit heavy for indoor use, but I think the benefits they provide outweigh that aspect especially if you have foot problems or don't mind the slight weight. They are excellent when using around the house/ outside given their weight. I felt compelled to share my experience with others that have foot pain and how God sent these are. The pictures are after 3 years of use wearing they every minute inside the house.

Only flip flops I will wear. Very durable and very comfortable. Have plantar fasciitis and other foot issues. I work in the yard with these and very rough with them. Sure I’ve torn up a few pair but I’ve tried many other brands and they can’t handle the work and/or are just not as comfortable.

The best flip flops ever. I have been wearing these for over 10 years. I am on my third pair.

I normally take a 10-11 in trainers (sneakers) and casual shoes. In proper leather dress shoes I'm a 9. In these I'm a 9. I ordered my first pair in a 10, but they had to go back as they were too big. These are amazing flipflops; they're sturdy and grippy enough for light hiking (anywhere you have a footpath basically), and comfortable enough for every day wear. I have just ordered abother pair from amazon as my last one failed after 4 years. The strap became separated from the sole after my daughter stood on the heel for the millionth time. If you don't have a clumsy 7 year old around they might last until you wear through the sole (which is very thick and hard-wearing).

Einfach nur Schade das dieser Schuh nicht in Europa zu kaufen ist. Bester Flip-Flop den je getragen habe!

In short I have worn many from Birkenstock to Clarks to Quiksilver etc - these are vastly better - look great, very comfortable and supportive, a good weight whilst not being heavy nor cheap-feeling and featherlight, grippy, etc. Perfect for walking around town or hiking. Best ever sandals - so much so I bought another spare immediately.
