I used 15 pounds for a 30 gallon tank which gave me about an inch deep.

Can this be used in a fresh water tank?

Yes it can. Be mindful it'll raise your ph if you like a low ph tank.

Dénomination granulométrie grossière inexacte

Ce sable n'est absolument pas adapté aux aquariums récifaux où le brassage est fort à cause de sa granulométrie trop fine. La dénomination "Grossière" porte à confusion et mensongée, puisque la granulométrie est d'environs 1 à 1,5 mm. Je dois renvoyer l'article.
