To start off, visually this fan is very pretty. The package also looks nice, just as displayed. It slides open very easily, which I like. It also does its job well. However, one thing I would say is a flaw is the fact that the fan is very flimsy. It is lightweight, which is good for traveling, but lightweight means weak and fragile as well. I can imagine this breaking on me if I handle it too roughly. Overall, it is pretty, does its job, is lightweight but it needs to be handled with care for longer lasting. Though to add on about the price, I don't think this fan is worth the price it is at right now. I paid $6 shipping too so that's a total around $15. I feel this fan should have been worth $4-5 at the most, nothing near $9. The quality is so-so. I bought a fan in China for under $5 (30 yuan) and it was more stable compared to this fan. So yeah, take your pick.

I got this for a wedding in the high heat of summer - it was perfect!A couple things people should be aware of: Sometimes the "ribs folds" will stick together. If that's the case for the fan you received, take your time and GENTLY pry them apart with a couple fingernails. Do NOT try to flip the fan open repeatedly to unstick them! The fan IS as big as described once all the folds are unstuck.Also, one of the sides did come off at one point. I emailed the company and they suggested fabric glue, with an offer to send a replacement if the glue was unsuccessful. I'm fine with a quick fix, and I used a multi-purpose glue that included fabric in the list, so the fan is now perfect once again.+++ for customer service!*Edit for clarity*I want to make clear that the merchant DID offer to replace the fan from the very first message exchange - I wanted to try fixing it first.

I've fallen in love with folding fans lately. However most of them are cheap or fall apart easily. This fan comes with it's own carrying bag and box. It's the perfect size to travel with while not feeling overwhelming. I've been doing a lot of farmers market's and outdoor activities and I love just snapping this fan to attention and cooling off. It's durable and has held up with my constant daily use.

My other fan broke so i bought this one to replace it, and this little black fan is so much more effective. With the paper at the top it really pushes the air around it. The fan opens easily and makes a cute little crinkly sound when you do. It comes boxed and in a silk sleave. Over all a great buy, looks beautiful. It goes with my all black outfits, which is why its great to have this handy. Always keeps me cool : )

As others have said, it’s beautiful but a little filmsy. I don’t really mind as I only use them for raves (I go to them once a month) and they do the job. I would buy again because it’s such a pretty fan and it’s not a big deal to me that it’s a little less sturdy since I don’t use it often.

It's not a silk fan, it's made of some kind of ultra-thin yet stiff plastic. Otherwise it looks exactly like it does in the picture. The bag it comes with may be silk, but it doesn't feel like silk. It feels like rayon or something synthetic. It's just a fan, it'll do what you expect it to, but they aren't being honest by saying it's silk.

At first I liked the fan because it wasn't heavy and it looked nice, but after about 5 minutes of use, it broke. The glue on one end did not hold and then the fan started to unfold which then made the sticks on the inside/middle break. This fan is not worth $10. You're honestly better off with a paper fan from the Dollar Store.

Love this fan! This is my 2nd one exactly like it! Its sleek, slim, lightweight, easy to unfold and fold, and small enough to fit in my crossbody. Love this fan!
