Free gift straws should not be placed directly on to the board.
While the product appeared sturdy and fine to look at, the flat board had caved in slightly but permanently because of steel straws tightly packed along its centre. The free gift straws can be packed separately to avoid misshaping the board in transit. Protective packaging material can also be inserted to retain the board's flat shape.
