Rasta Imposta Squirrel Costume

I have a few squirrel hating neighbors in my area so I clearly needed to dress up as a squirrel for Halloween. My husband dressed up as Bob Ross and we projected videos of Ross hanging out with baby squirrels he used to rehab. It was a hit with kids and parents on Halloween! This squirrel costume will get you attention because it’s so detailed. It was very large on me, but I’m only 5’4 with a petite frame. It was easy to adjust for my size by simply rolling up the legs at the bottom (I tied the extra material with elastic and then tucked it into the costume so I wouldn’t trip). The head also requires stuffing which I did with paper. Absolutely amazing! I sort of want to walk around my neighborhood at night with this on and see what type of reactions I get. 🐿️

The media could not be loaded.  So my local area has wine fairies, crazy women like myself dress up in ridiculous costumes and play ding ding ditch and leave wine. Well my nickname is squirrel 🐿️ so this costume was perfect. I'm only 5ft so it was a little big. And if you want to be warm, this costume is made of the hottest polyester. It's soft but hottt! the tale is an inflatable insert, so getting in and out of the car a few times, it kind of deflated a little bit. but a limp tail kind of added to the charm of a drunk squirrel. I had a blast and my friends did too. The included nuts have very small Velcro squares that will attach anywhere on the polyester costume. however because the squares are so small they don't stay attached very well. I think I lost one at the first stop and lost another somewhere through the night.

THE GOOD:This costume was a MAJOR hit at both Halloween parties I attended this year. Everyone loved it and the costume gets a ton of attention. People are constantly playing with the tail and wanting to take pictures with your “nuts”.THE BAD:The worst part of the costume is having to take nearly the entire costume off down to the thighs each time you have to empty the bladder. As you can imagine, drinking beer at a party, bathroom trips become frequent. I’m a 6 ft tall male with a bigger/muscular build weighing 205 lbs. The custome is one piece and the legs were about 6 inches short of touching the tops of my shoes. I wore grey sweatpants underneath the costume and no one was looking at the bottom of the costume anyway. Having a bigger upper body build with broad shoulders, the costume was tight in those areas which led to several rips in the seams in the shoulder and underarm areas. The tail sticks straight up much higher than your head and I had to “limbo” under every doorway. Not a huge deal but became a little annoying after a while. There are no pockets in the costume so I would suggest maybe a fanny pack for your phone, wallet, etc. I actually cut a slit in the side of the costume right where my pants pocket was. However, the cut got bigger and bigger as the seam unraveled after getting abused at two parties.Even after the “bad”...I still had a ton of fun with this custome and would recommend it to anyone wanting to steal the show at your next Halloween party.

Ordered this for the sole purpose of running around my boss’ back yard in the middle of the night to mess with his new trail cameras. The quality of this costume was so great, you can tell it’s a squirrel from yards away without showing my face. The nuts are a nice touch too. 10/10 would recommend as he still doesn’t know who it was! Round two this week just to keep the joke alive.Side note, I am 5’8" and 225lbs, little snug in the mid section, but a few more midnight backyard runs and it should be fitting in no time.I’m October, I plan on adding a pink bikini to it and going as Sandy Cheeks.

The costume was a hit, everyone loved it. My criticism is about the sizing, which was quite tight in places, and I'm only a 5'8" female. I think the average man would find this uncomfortable. Many reviewers said that larger people (5'10" 180 lbs, for example) had room to spare, and I'm not sure how that could be. The other problem was that the tail was difficult to inflate. It seems to be made not for blowing by mouth, but for a ball-inflation needle? It seems to have a one-way flap sort of thing within the valve, and I could not blow hard enough to budge it. My 12v inflator (for blowing up my inflatable fishing boat), even with the small nozzle that fit tightly around the valve stem, couldn't get the air to pass, either. I eventually got it to partially inflate using a hand-held bicycle pump, but it took a lot of effort and I finally gave up when the tail was about half-full. It worked like that, but it wasn't ideal.In the end, while I didn't win the costume contest, folks really thought it was cute and remarked on it. The velcro on the accessories wasn't very strong, so I kept losing my nuts, but people who found them always returned them to me. :D

10/10 great costume. We had a costume contest at work and I got second place out of a couple hundred employees. It was way more popular than I expected and people loved that it came with acorns.The weekend before, some friends and I went to a halloween party at a club. At my buddy's half-joking suggestion, I turned the costume around and wore it backwards. The sight of a squirrel with a massive "appendage" was a huge hit (figuratively and literally; I had to keep it from hitting people walking through the club). Guys were laughing and hi-fiving and girls were grabbing it wanting pictures with me.Pros: Hilariously awesome.Cons: Hot, not very durable (a seam on the head piece tore), can't lean back while sitting down with the tail in the way, hard to dance with people if you're wearing it backwards.I'm 5'10" and it fit perfectly. Despite the cons, it's still a great costume and 100% worth it.

Costume overall met our expectations. It is one size fits all, so for some of us it was to long but it did meet our needs. We had 7 of us dress up as squirrels and play outdoor hockey in -25 weather!! It kept us extra warmed and entertained alot of spectators.

I'm a 5'7" female and the costume had a decent amount of room around the mid section, however the legs on it only went half way down my chins, very capri-like. My go-around to this problem was buying "cat feet socks" which ended up looking just like Squirrel feet so it worked very well in the end. I personally feel you are getting a decent quality costume for the $60 price tag - the fabric and stitching are a bit weak and the seams in the inner legs tore quite easily, but again - for $60.00 you are paying more for the head and design. Still worth it to me :)I stuffed the head with fluff from an old pillow, it looked great!

I am 5’5” and 150ish lbs and the suit fits me well. I got it to wear to grocery store runs (nowhere else to go due to lockdown) to cheer people up during these gloomy times and boy did it deliver. This costume is a riot! Unfortunately, the inflatable tail constantly deflates due to air leaking and it remains inflated for about 20 minutes ;-(I wonder if it would be possible to replace the inflatable tail?Edit: I found a couple of small holes on the tail and covered them with Scotch tape :)
