I bought these to assist and hold open the lid of a blanket chest.They are exactly the same as two struts fitted to another blanket chest which we already own so I had some idea as to where to position these.They are inexpensive, well made and function well.A little fiddly to fit but well within the average DIYers ability.There are some dimensions faintly printed on the packets but I didn’t use them.Make sure that you fit them such that the door/lid doesn’t pass through any more than 80° or the lid will go over centre and lock up.

I purchased these struts to try and fix a lift hatch issue in our new home. The loft hatch swings past 90degrees and has on a few occasions dented the wall behind.After trying a few solutions I decided to try these as many other choices would not work due to the fitting and requirements.Although these feel quite cheap, light and flimsy they have worked perfectly for our needs, they don’t come with any real instructions (a few images on the plastic packet only) they are easy to work and fit without the need as such.The hardest part was sorting out where to fit them to ensure we got the opening angle perfect to prevent the damage to the wall going forward.Ours did arrive missing some screws which was annoying but aside from that they are up and working as I intended them too.

Got these to replace originals fitted to a large refuse bin storage unit from a well known brand who's name begins with K..... Much better than the originals and fitted them within a few minutes without having to make any adjustments. Very easy to install great value for money and work really well.

The product arrived on time and are as described. The challenge for me was the hinges are very very firm and there is no guidance as to how the soft close can be made easier to use. I would have appreciated some more guidance as to their use other than just how to fit them.
