First off, I'd like to thank MSI for making an album longer than 26 minutes. They hit the 45 minute mark. Much appreciated! Hah. But anyway, IF is a great album full of all the things that make MSI enjoyable and more. This time, MSI's sound has evolved into a more new wave punk sound. Jimmy Urine's vocals still have some hip-hop tendencies, but there is more singing (and screaming) throughout this record. The guitars have been turned way up and riffs are abundant, giving the album a crunchy punk feel. The synths on this album have an 80's feel to it making IF sound new wave at times which is really cool. You can even hear the bass throughout this record. The lyrics are still usual MSI fare: Prescription drugs, getting laid, dancing, getting laid, and Jimmy's favorite, not being able to get it up. What a weirdo. A lot of the songs on IF have been played live for a couple years so they aren't really new but its nice to finally hear them all sparkly studio fresh now. For instance, you can find Revenge in a more stripped down version on Alienating Our Audience. Now, Revenge is tweaked with Lyn-Z's vocals and some more synths. Cool song. Other highlights include Animal, Mastermind, Never Wanted To Dance, Pay For It, and the hilariously weird Mark David Chapman. I'll admit, I had kind of gotten bored with MSI in the last couple of years having only released one real new studio album in a 5 year period. In my opinion, IF is ten times better than You'll Rebel To Anything, which I think was too short and not nearly as interesting aside from the Nintendo samples throughout the record. As much as I love Frankenstein Girls and Tight for the originality of those records, I much prefer the direction that MSI is going with IF. The straight-forward in-your-face aspect of this album is what makes it so cool. I'm a punk and new wave fan so this album satisfies me on both those levels, while adding that weird ADD-addled flavor that MSI is known for. I totally recommend this record to fans of rock/electronic.Nuff said.

Great album

So I love the IF album and I love mindless self indulgence but the case for the CD has so many cracks…

This album a lot of fans believed that MSI did for the younger audience and didn't take much consideration for the older (original fan base). Yes the album is a little more childish but it is still a great piece of art that MSI created and I personally believe that this album was showing that MSI can still write catchy songs without being so crazy about it. Which really shows them Maturing their act up but still being good at the same time. Jimmy and everyone one else in the band aren't as young as they use to be and everyone knows that a majority of bands try to a bit more professional after a few years go by.But all in all it's defiantly is a piece worth buying especially this version for it features the song uncle on it which the standard US print leaves out.

Do you like dance,rock,alternative,industrial with a touch of hip hop?This band somehow manages to merge all genres of music to create one of the most kick ass albums ever.Don't ask me how.When trying to describe it I'm sure it sounds like one big cacophony of a s***storm doomed to failure.Here's proof it worked:I don't even really care for "dance" or "hip hop" and I love this album.Their new album, "How I Learned to Stop Giving a S*** and Love Mindless Self Indulgence" says it all.Seriously,GO BUY IT!You'll love it then hate yourself for not finding them sooner.All that lost time...

I like it. I like having hard copies of albums I like. It arrived before it was supposed to. It was unopened and there is nothing wrong with it. It is a well loved album

MSI ist Geschmackssache - daran möchte ich nicht rütteln!Wer jedoch den Film Bandits mit Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton und Cate Blanchett geschaut hat, und dadurch auf diese Band gestoßen ist, weiß was ich meine wenn ich behaupte: "Sie sind genial!". Der erwähnte Song ist allerdings nicht enthalten ;-)Meiner Meinung nach das beste Album was sie gemacht haben, alle anderen gefallen mir nicht so.Dieses jedoch Rockt! =)#empfehlenswert
