My safety can had a flexible spout that eventually split in the middle and fell inside the can. These spouts are rigid, so not as compact, but they fit great, don’t leak, and are sturdy enough to last as long as the safety can itself.

I bought this about a year ago and upgraded three gas cans. Never used it until the recent storm. I agree with all the reviews - it works great, gas flows much more quickly. It’s not spilling out like an uncontrollable flood, but is a very steady flow. Previously my cans had no air vent, so it made bubbling noises similar to a water cooler. No longer. I was shocked how quickly I was able to pour out 4.5 gallons of gas. Holding a gas can with several gallons of fluid is not really heavy, but to me it’s a bulky can that needs to be held at an awkward angle. Now it is still bulky but I come off with no fatigue or annoyance since it’s so fast.I have three gas cans, so I should have done A/B testing to see if just upgrading the air vent only would increase the performance. Regardless I’m happy with the results.I had a concern that the air vent would not form a tight seal after installation. After filling a can and leaving it full, the next day turning the cap I felt the pressure release and the air escape sound, so I feel good that the closed air vent is air tight. Closing the air vent requires a nice push and gives a nice clicking sound with positive feedback so you know it’s closed.I still have a problem with a tiny bit of gas left in the container which I can never fully get out. That’s not the fault of this product, it’s inherent to the design all of these gas cans.I also has a concern that the drilling would put plastic shavings into the can which would then mix with the gas. I’m not concerned since cars have fuel filters, and my generator has a mesh screen for the fuel as well. I don’t suppose the plastic shavings will break down and dissolve in the can, since plastic cans do not break down. I did put painters tape over the spot before drilling to make a neater hole. I don’t know if that helped to reduce shavings. I suppose I could have rinsed out the containers with water, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of that, and since I have tiny amounts of gas in my cans, I have no place to spill out the diluted mixture. If I were purchasing new gas cans I would rinse them out with water before putting in gas the first time.Installation was simple. The kit came with extra parts for fitting multiple can types. I’m sure the other parts would work well with other types of cans.

This worked good for 3 gas cans that I have and the price was cheap and delivered the next day after I ordered them.

I used one spout and one vent on a new gas can they work great without any leaks. I'm very satisfied.

So nice to be back to the way gas cans used to be before all the "safety" and "anti-spill" garbage was mandated. These worked perfectly, and even came with a drill bit to make the vent hole. Outstanding.

This “kit” turns my gas cans into easily used containers! The stupid spouts now being designed for gas cans make them difficult and time-consuming to use 🤬. These spouts & vents make them now usable!

I keep 30 gallons of premium gas on hand during hurricane season in case the power goes out to use with my generator.I always refresh the gas and put the recently purchased gas in the cars. I also have 2 5 gallon No Spill Gas Cans which I’ve used for years without fail. I never liked the spouts that came on the other gas cans and so when I saw these, I figured they would be perfect. Perfect (meaning no leaks) if you are filling something without a deep check valve. The end of these spouts are not very long. Unfortunately, the gas tanks on my wife’s 18 MB E400 coupe or my 23 BMW M340i have a check valve that is deeper than the uncoiled part of these spouts. If you look at the picture of the no Spill gas can spout, you will see that it is quite a bit longer and is able to push the check valve into the open position. Thus, the gas backed up and into the overflow hole. So now, I just pour the gas into the No Spill Gas Can and then into the car.I summary, if you’re filling something like a generator or lawn mower, this is a great alternative than the non flexible spouts on many gas cans these days. Just be aware, they are not really good for filling cars with check valves because the thin part of the spouts are not long enough.

Had some hesitation about using the supplied drill bit to puncture my gas can, but went ahead and used it. The manufacturer of this product has really done their homework because the drill bit was an exact size for what was required to make a perfect fir for the supplied vent piece. All of the part are heavy duty, leakproof and easy to install. They even supplied both fine and course threads for the spout attachments.
