Fun and effective aqua fitness accessory
I recently bought a house with an enclosed, heated inground pool that I can swim laps and exercise in year round. I’ve done aerobics and dance on land for years and I’m teaching myself aquatic exercises for strength, stamina, and balance. I’ve never seen anything like this ball and love it.I can dribble the ball like a slow motion basketball and either hand, which is great for coordination and building strength. Because the ball has a little bit of air it, in addition to lots of water, it is somewhat buoyant. It takes a bit of force to push it down in order to bounce it off the bottom and to control it as it comes back up. I exercise to a playlist to help me keep a steady cadence and to make exercise more fun. I get in a lunge position with my legs in the shallow (3’) end so that my shoulders are just under the water then dribble the ball off the bottom with one arm (the opposite leg in front sort of galloping forward). Then I switch the leg that’s lunging in front and the arm that’s bouncing the ball for another 8 to 12 counts. I can also bounce the ball alternately between two hands while in a wide legged stance in the shallow end. Bouncing in deeper water is harder to control, so I’m mainly use it exercising in the shallow end.It is really hard to explain these exercise and the sensation of bouncing a ball full of water, underwater if you’ve never done it before! Perhaps it’s a little like bouncing a ball on the moon where gravity is different. I’m so glad I gave it a try!

Slippery surface
Does anyone have a hard time maintaining your grip on this ball? It has a slippery surface, and as I took it above my head, it totally slipped from my grasp hitting me full force in the chest.
