Perfect for new trees etc.
It is pretty easy to use but I don't understand yet why there are three different programmes. They are easy enough to set but I have not yet worked out how to select them for use. They may be useful for different seasons or different weather but I have yet to learn how.One very useful feature that I don't recall from the listing was the 💧manual over-ride TIMER 💧. When you select 'manual' it asks you how long you want the water to run (see photo). That is just perfect for when you have to move a lawn sprinkler around. One 'minus' was that it is not perfectly suited to my tap (see photo). It pokes out at an angle which is is useful when setting the programme etc but generally it is in the way.A second 'minus' was that it did not seal to my tap (see photo) because the collar clashed with the tap. That was cured by inserting a second rubber seal. Now it is screwed on properly there is zero leakage and it operates silently and reliably.

Works great
Just arrived, it seemed good quality with a nice weight to it. It was easy to set up date/timers etc and after some adaptions (needed extra washer and plumbers tape for tap) it worked great.

Nice piece of kit - does what it is supposed to, and is easy to use
I really like this. Bought it to keep my lawn and plants going whilst I was on holiday and wasn't really sure what to expect. But this is great - and a really good price when compared to others that are available. It has 3 timed settings, so you can have it come on at multiple times throughout the day, or have each timed setting come on at different intervals. You can set it by the minute on a 24hr clock and I particularly got this one as it has a rain sensor. I've tested this, and it works well. It has a sensor on the top and if that has a drop of water on it, then it doesn't activate - which is pretty neat! I also like the fact that you can still use the water whilst it is attached if you want to use your hose for example, as it has a 'use now' function which bypasses the timed setting. All in, it has all the functionality that you could need and does everything very well. Would definitely recommend!

Poor Quality
Its leaking from the faucet and in the irrigation pipes, connections are not secure enough to handle water pressure. Can any one recommend a replacement faucet that will be compatible?

Draining Batteries
I've purchased and started using the item mid June'23 and have changed 8 batteries (4 times 2 batteries) in less than 3 months. I've tried to use different brands as well just to keep it running but failed to get it working more than 2 weeks. (2 times a day 15 minutes scheduled watering)For me the item was easy to fit and setup ,but can't say efficient as you should keep checking and changing the batteries often. Nothing near 9 months like my other brand was.

Simple, intuitive... it just works.
I bought this to automatically water my greenhouse while I was on holiday and it worked perfectly. The interface is intuitive and easy to understand. I cannot comment on the rain sensor as I have it under cover. I have it set to water the greenhouse twice a day for an hour and I regularly use the manual override to fill watering cans, just remove the hose for the greenhouse and press the manual override. I have had other watering timers that required me to disconnect them to use the tap.My only regret is that, in hindsight, I should have bought the dual output so that I could auto water the greenhouse and garden separately. I intend to buy the dual output model before summer..

Good price and easy to use.
Why are these things so complicated, all we have it for is to connect to a hose and power the irrigation, but our garden is in three parts so we just connect the hose to whichever one needs water, so it is only ever used in a manual mode with us setting the time.As we all live in the UK and knows it rains quite often why do we need to program it ? Just a simple water timer would be great but from what I have seen they are all rubbish so I will stick with the cheapest one I can find so long as it has a manual mode.
