Equations that keep math sharp
We used this for our second grade math and it went ok. I noticed my son would at times be frustrated with it because it lacked pictures/colors and he thrives on that. We switched math for third grade, but I left it at 5 stars because if your child thrives on doing equations without colors/pictures, this is perfect for them. It is more of a skills practice math workbook to keep math sharp.

Awesome Math Workbook
We’ve used this for my daughter’s upcoming 2nd grade year. This was our summer math workbook and it is amazing! The book is a great quality, tons of math problems and the answers are in the back if you need them. Great to get the kids ready for the work ahead!

I bought two for my granddaughter to practice more and repeatedly
I recently purchased the Spectrum 2nd Math Practice Book for my granddaughter, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The organization of the book is superb, making it an ideal tool for young learners embarking on their math journey. One of the standout features is the thoughtful layout of the practice exercises. Each page presents a manageable challenge, allowing my granddaughter to comfortably complete one or two pages per day. This incremental approach not only keeps her engaged but also ensures a steady and thorough progression through the material.I appreciate the gradual increase in difficulty as the book advances. It seems that the creators of Spectrum 2nd Math Practice Book understand the importance of building a solid foundation before introducing more complex concepts. This thoughtful progression gives me confidence that my granddaughter will continue to grow her math skills at a pace that suits her development. Moreover, the decision to purchase two books was a wise one. The ample content ensures that she can practice more extensively, providing a well-rounded exploration of the second-grade math curriculum. I anticipate that as she becomes more confident, she may naturally slow down to delve deeper into certain topics or revisit challenging exercises, solidifying her understanding. The Spectrum 2nd Math Practice Book not only serves as an excellent learning resource but also fosters a positive attitude towards math. The variety of exercises, coupled with the well-organized structure, makes it an enjoyable experience for young minds. In conclusion, if you're searching for a math practice book that is well-organized, engaging, and promotes a steady progression of skills, the Spectrum 2nd Math Practice Book is an excellent choice. My granddaughter looks forward to her daily math sessions, and I'm confident that this resource will play a crucial role in her mathematical development.

Excellent practice, plenty of repetition!!
My son have severe dyslexia and adhd but he is actually very quick to understand math. The problems go in proper progression through the book, starting very simple and basic and moving to more complex. I appreciate the word problems as this is something that always needs extra help. Written very strait forward and easy enough to go step by step. If your child is a good reader I think this would be great supplement to your curriculum. For our needs, we are using this as out main math and supplementing around this!

It is kind of easy
It is good to prepare my son for 2nd grade. I prefer it if it is more challenging.

Perfect for homeschool!
My daughter (12) has IDD and this goes at a pace that's perfect for her. There's just enough repetition that she's mostly retaining the concepts. It's harder with a cognitive impairment. We don't follow the lessons to a tee; rather, I tear out a page and we do as much as we can for about 30 minutes, then pick up the next day. When I pulled her out at 11 to homeschool, she bascially couldn't even count, yet her special ed class was learning multiplication, while she sat in the background with everything going over her head. So, I found these and we started with the PreK numbers and counting, then K, 1st and now this. I am so happy with how far she's come in the last 15 months with these books!♡

This is a great book if you home school your kids or if you just want them to practice some more math skills.
