‘A man’s wealth is not in the coins he carries in his purse; it is the income he builds, the golden stream that continually flows into his purse and keeps it always bulging.’ This 1926 classic serves as a talisman through its renowned collection of Babylonian parables for those seeking financial wisdom and stability in life. Its powerhouse of time-tested principles on how to gain and retain wealth has been inspiring readers for several generations now. A perfect guide to understand finances, it also discusses the ‘five laws of gold’ and provides us with insights on not only how to be in clover but also keep good luck at one’s side. Even after almost 100 years of The Richest Man in Babylon, it continues to remain a classic bestseller. Nice Book
Nicely narrated story, can be correlated to present times too. The English language is primitive English (Shakespere types). Initialy it distracts, but if you are determined to complete reading and learning, it wouldn't be a blocker. Great lessons to save money, invest and multiply. The stories also speak of how discipline and decision making traits are important for building wealth. . The concepts are simple and easy to understand, some of it practiced in Indian hooseholds. Read with basic expectation. College students or those newly employed ( Age16-25) should keep this in their must read list amongst others. Read, Practice and Flourish

A Must read beginner book on wealth creation
This is the very basic book to start for any one at any age for money management. Highly recommended book to understand how to make your money work for you while you sleep. Timeless wisdom. I gift this book to grown-ups and people who start their career after college

100 years, still in print, insightful even today
Babylon was the biggest city in the world about 4000 years ago. The wisdom of creating personal wealth narrated in old English ('thee', not 'you') is still a wonderful read. Easy and elegant, through multiple stories, the fundamentals shared still hold so true. Respect, value for one's word, freedom of slaves, love for work, and the power of compounding - nothing in this book should surprise you. The narration hold your attention and the messages will deeply impact you. The last story is for the young talented individuals - getting rich is not a magic wand. Are you happy with the boring and steady returns in the long run than a multi bagger you can brag to your friends ? Happy reading.

Language
The book is good but the level of English is little bit high.

Do not skip reading this book.
A must read book for every human being who does not have any financial literacy whatsoever. The book is a wealth in itself for all the wisdom and knowledge it provides.

Must read
A gem of a book. The book might, at first thought, give you the idea of having engraved in it , crucial and rare secrets to managing finances in life. But the reality as is that “the truth is always in front of us in plain sight, we just choose to avoid it.” We all might already be aware of the simple things which our parents and elders have been telling us from years, we casually choose to ignore. So I would definitely suggest buying this one, but don’t just breeze through the book, read one chapter at a time or few pages and try and relate them to your own life finances.
