The Good Stuff
Very heavy duty and durable. Excellent adhesive backing, will adhere to any reasonably clean, smooth surface. Lots of traction even on a sloped surface. Excellent price, less than any hardware store. No wet weather test yet, but I'm betting it will do fine. Nice touch to have the little roller tool included for installing.

No more slipping on the wet stairs!
I bought this grippy tape to cover my front wood stairs because when it rains they get super slippery. I also used them in my car. For the outside stairs, they stick really well, even in the rain. The only time they peeled up was when we used a blower to clean up the leaves. I remedied that by using a staple gun and stapling the corners down and a few parts in the middle. Problem solved. I also have senior dogs that are much more confident going down the stairs now, and I feel better knowing they aren't going to do face plants on the concrete. I tried putting them in my inside stairs and they stuck to the carpet but he didn't care for it so I took it off, but it does stick! For my car, when I put stuff on the roof I need to stand on the threshold I think it's called just inside the door, to be able to be tall enough. The first time I did it I almost broke my neck because someone had armor-all'ed it. Although it looked quite lovely, it nearly killed me. I put the grippy tape on the thresholds, another problem solved. It's a solid amount of product and a lot of peace of mind for the price. It also comes with a handy roller to smooth it down because you won't be using your hands to do that or you'd have no skin left. Second time I've bought this and I will buy again if needed.

Tears easily
Has really good surface and walking grip. I used it on my motorcycle lift and it really helps with loading and unloading. It is tearing in areas. I know this isn't the primary function but it makes life a lot easier. I’ll be putting it on my deck steps before winter for the dogs. Just be careful when handling it, it’ll tear with some more effort than paper and it’ll stick together quickly. It does have memory from unrolling it, so if you’re using a big piece it’ll be easier to handle with 2 people. It’s great otherwise.

Effective and looks good
Works just fine . Good adhesive. It does attract dirt because of the heavy grit, but that’s the price for not slipping. Looks good. At this price, it can be changed often if needed.

Mandatory addition to scaffold ladder rungs
This scaffold was just the structure necessary to complete my 14' tall quonset hut. The built-in ladders are sturdy enough for five people to climb up at once, but they had ZERO texture on each step. The slick powder-coating was as smooth as glass and did not inspire confidence when searching for footing or a sure grip. You'd think a scaffold manufacturer would apply some sort of texture to these ladder pieces where they're meant to be climbed. I purchased this tape in attempt to keep my spine intact upon dozens of ladder climbs. I applied it several weeks ago and I'm confident in writing a thorough review.Application: These scaffold ladder rungs had caked on oils and mud caked on all twelve steps. I started at the top and did two rungs at a time, holding onto the side-bar while I worked. The first step was a baby wipe for all debris and the bulk of the filth. This was followed by an alcohol wipe to remove all remaining oils. I cut this 1" wide tape to round the corners and avoid peeling and placed it from side to side on each 29" wide ladder step. Two steps at a time allowed me to hang from the side while working on each two on the way down.Function: We've climbed this scaffold on both sides with mud-covered boots and drips of machine oil smeared on the bottom of our soles. Without this tape, we were worried about slipping even with clean shoes. With this product, we are confident to climb with any condition of footwear. The texture resembles 80-grit sandpaper, as advertised. It isn't very comfortable on bare hands, but it is meant for safety and security; not comfort.Durability: It has stormed three times since I applied the tape and most sunny days in between have been 105-115 degrees. The intense heat hasn't caused any peeling or degradation, nor has the stormy weather and high winds. You can see the mess left by the (near tornado-strength) wind at the base of the scaffold in my picture. This product has also sustained three people climbing quickly and violently up to the top for days on end without a single peeled edge or slippage. This review is too long already, but in my particular use: This stuff is a literal lifesaver. The workers loved it, even though only one climbed it before this grip tape was applied. The new guys assume it came standard on the scaffold. Personally, I am still surprised they sell scaffold over ten feet high without any texture on the ladder rungs. 5/5 stars for an economical and quality product.
