The diet Leatherman I've always wanted
I've carried at least one pocket knife most of my life, and while I liked the idea of the original Leathermans, I found them to be too bulky, and being unable to access the blade without unfolding the pliers was annoying, since the blade is needed more often. However, pliers are something I missed having often enough, so when I saw this particular item, I got excited: it is just the essentials. Blade, pliers, screwdrivers, bottle opener. And it's even got a clip to keep it right where I usually kept a lockblade knife. I still carry a Swiss Army Knife for the toothpick, scissors, and can opener, but I might stop keeping it in my EDC.This knife is the perfect balance of features for an average working man / hobbyist. It is easy to carry, all the tools are easily accessible, and the build quality is excellent. If you bend the clip (happens often enough with any pocket clipped knife), it's easy to fix: remove one Torx screw, bend it back flat, reattach. Don't even have to fully remove it, just enough to rotate the clip and bend it back to where it'll have tension. This knife is my main pocket knife now. Fully recommend it and I may gift a few of them to my family for Christmas this year.

A Great Addition to My Leatherman Collection
This LEATHERMAN, Skeletool is now a part of my Leatherman collection of great knives and multi-tools. I love that this Skeletool is light weight and full of tools that I use when camping and traveling. It is so nice to have this Leatherman with me because it has the tools included that I use most of all. It is well built, of course, and I can carry it in my pocket when I go for a long hike. I am so glad I bought this great Leatherman product.

Multi tool in your pocket
I don’t leave the house without my leatherman. I’m a handyman and this tool saves me from going back to the van to go get a specific tool. Knife is very sharp. The screwdriver attachment is convenient and durable. Pliers are good. Bottle opener is just what the doctor ordered another reason it’s always in my pocket.

Excellent -- just the EDC I needed.
Very well designed and built. Has everything I need, nothing I don't. Some pieces (mainly the pliers) don't appear to be stainless, or a different stainless alloy that has corroded a little, but I use it often and it's been through water, mud, battery corrosion, etc.

Nice, Sturdy Yet Lightweight for EDC
I carried a Gerber Suspension for years and although it worked well, I wanted something more robust for trips up to the North Shore and Gunflint Trail here in frozen MN. I went with a Leatherman Surge, and that thing is a freakin' tank! Then I changed jobs and had to dress more "corporate" but the Surge damn-near pulled my slacks down with it's weight. It works great for scrambling around in the wood wearing jeans with a sturdy, leather belt, but not for an office setting. And,honestly, I didn't want to scare anyone. Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking, but I prefer not to even have it come up. There's far too many "kids" in the office that couldn't change their own oil if their life depended on it so I don't even want the flap. Honestly, Millennials these days, right? The only Gerber they know is what was on their baby food jars.As I often do, I check YouTube for reviews along with the Amazon ones. I particularly like a channel called "Best Damn EDC" that details EDC options from hundreds of users that send in their choice for daily wear. The Leatherman Skeletool seems to be a favorite among those in a more corporate setting and I can see why. It's lighter, easier on the carry, and has most of the tools I'd need close at hand. Sure, it doesn't have as many features as the Surge, but then it weighs a whole lot less! Now I can carry it all day long and my Skeletool and underwear both stay concealed--AS GOD INTENDED! ;)If I had one complaint off the top of my head, it would be no horizontal carry option. I sit in a desk chair all day and it often catches my sheath when sitting down. I know I can rig something up, but the sheath it comes with is pretty nice and has a good snap. It'd be nice if it had the hoops for horizontal carry like my Surge case has. And maybe a side loop for my Olight. But still, it's a great tool!

A little pricey but worth it
I just replaced my first skeletool which I had used regularly since I bought it in 2015 (8 years ago). It held up very well and traveled the country with me as a field technician. Unfortunately, I left it in my carry-on two weeks ago and had it confiscated by the TSA. There was no question I would buy another.Other than now being available in some cool colors, it hasn't changed much over the years. This is not a bad thing. It still packs a lot of utility in a small package, the add-on bit set is still available for it (which I highly recommend), and it's still extremely durable. My one gripe is that it's a little pricey for a compact multi-tool. Still, I think it's the best one out there. Gerber does make one almost as nice at less than half the price, but if you're going to be using it on a daily basis I think this is the one to buy.

I love playing with my tool.
I’m so impressed with this I haven’t found a spot for it. I keep it close by when watching TV.
