his produces delicious, BIG round pieces of popcorn every time. Also, I don't know if there's a science behind it or if it's just me but I noticed there seem to be lots of hulls in the bottom of my bowl (as opposed to being stuck onto the popcorn itself). That's actually a great thing because then they don't get stuck between my teeth!

Year after year, I search online for 100% mushroom popcorn kernels and every single purchase is NEVER what it claims to be. Why do sellers ALWAYS mix in butterfly kernels? This $12.99 bottle is by far the worst qualities I’ve ever bought. There’s barely any mushroom popcorn at all. Plus, there’s so much waste than average. If you’re wondering, I pop over the stove in a Lindy’s pot by initially warming up the kernels in oil for at least 30-60 seconds, then turn up the heat to high and let it pop while cranking the handle, and finally turning off the heat when the popping slows down. Immediately empty hot and freshly popped popcorn into an extra large stainless steel mixing bowl while quickly tossing in finely ground sea salt and gently massaging out the hulls and unpopped kernels so they fall to the bottom. Toss repeatedly until most of the hulls and undesirable pieces are removed. I popped half of the bottle which is equal to 2 measuring cups. The yield was poor, but with plentiful waste. This brand is a definite thumbs down pass!

This mushroom popcorn is the greatest! I had run out so picked up a bag at the grocery store. There is no comparison to this product. The kernels pop up nicely and are so nice and big! I highly recommend this. I ordered the larger size the second time so I don't run out. It is very affordable. It is of excellent quality.

Didn't have much hope for this with all the negative reviews, so I was very surprised how this mushroom popcorn turned out on first try. Perhaps the failures are due to technique in preparation. I popped 1/4 C kernels in 1.5 quart pot with tight lid, heated 3 Tbl. coconut oil over med.-hi heat, threw in a couple kernels, added rest when the first ones popped. Turned heat down to med-low after the popping started to go crazy and took off heat toward end. Just about all kernels popped, see photo, and about 90% were mushroom type. Yielded 5 Cups. Maybe this will change as I get down to the bottom of container. Taste was chewy, did not have any stale taste as other people said, and no problem with hulls. When I received the jar, the lid seemed to be tight, but did not seem to be an adequate seal against contamination, and there was no paper or aluminum seal over the top. I immediately made caramel corn and was very happy with my first attempt.

They have mixed mushroom kernels with regular kernels. If I wanted regular popcorn, I would buy regular popcorn. I wanted mushroom popcorn. It otherwise tastes fine.

Great popcorn! First batch came out perfect. I will be buying this popcorn over and over again. Only a couple of kernels didn't pop.

This product has potential to be 5 stars, but my experience was awful.I received this product and at first glance it was as advertised, HUGE kernels in the overly spherical shape only seen on mushroom popcorn kernels.Upon opening the lid I saw a red flag, no safely seal at all and a sticker on the lid saying “expires:” for a date only 60 days away.I don’t know if it was age or air but the kernels popped poorly with a lot of old maids. The minority that popped correctly were great tasting, huge & round .75 inch diameter, and the corn smells great also.I’d say if 80% of the kernels popped correctly it’d be great value, but instead I’ve got around 20% ratio, the rest being tiny & chewy.

This is good popcorn that pops every kernel. I looked this up and Mushroom popcorn is better for your health and has more fiber. Yes, there are more hulls, but that is becuz the hulls are thicker and make a bigger POP once they are heated up. I just keep the pan moving, and everything is always popped and not burnt. Dont eat empty hulls, LOL. I'm buying this over all other popcorn from now on. Happy with product, happy with price, happy with container.
