Great Replacement For Sony OEM Pads
I bought these pads for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I've had the headphones since 2011, this is about the 4th or 5th set of replacement pads - the PU leather degrades and falls apart over time. Always bought OEM replacement pads, this is the first time I've bought pads from a third-party. Very pleased with them, they're high-quality manufacture with reinforced stitching on the leather edges and stretchy enough to easily pull over the plastic frame of the headphones. They're very comfortable to wear, fit well and do a great job of blocking ambient room noise. Have to see how they hold up over time but I'm optimistic, I already like them better than the OEM ones, just better construction overall.

Better than the original pads, by far!
TL:DREasy install, better material quality, better foam, better long term wearing comfort, better sound seal than the Sony original pads. Such a good design they should be the OEM supplier for Sony.Full review:These pads fit both the MDR V6 and the 7506 due to them sharing the same aluminum ear cup design. The difference between the V6 and 7506 is purely in the internal drivers and color printed on the ear cups. The V6 is more balanced while the 7506 has a little more bass response.I use my MDR V6's almost every day, for several hours a day. The original Sony pads would have pressure spots and tension headaches after a couple of hours. My prescription glasses would break the sound seal and noise rejection would suffer from it. The Sony pads also jammed my glasses frames into my head, increasing the pressure. I thought I just had to deal with this lack of comfort due to me wearing glasses and not knowing Wicked Cushions existed.Last year, my original Sony pads started wearing out and falling apart. The vinyl broke down and literally peeled right off the foam in strips about 1/4" wide, all around the headphones, starting in the ear cavity and radiating out to the outside of the ear cups. I bought my first set of Wicked Cushions for my V6's then. What a night and day difference! These Wicked Cushions fit like the original Sony's on the ear cups, but have a lot of significant upgrades in comfort, longevity, and sound seal. Wicked Cushions are much more supple of a material, with better, softer padding, and better noise rejection and a better seal to your head, even around my prescription glasses. I get no pressure points after long uses and can go for hours with no headaches. The foam is soft and the leather supple. I put them through a 10 hour flight in October 2019, without removing them once, while wearing my glasses, and felt no pressure points from the long listening usage.Honestly, these pads should be the original pads that came with the V6 and 7506 as they perfected the issues the original design had. This order was to replace my wife's original pads, which had also started to break down like mine did. My Wicked's are still going strong 13 months later! Based on the quality I'm sure both of ours will be going strong years from now!

Great for Sony MDR-7506
I love these replacement pads for my Sony MDR-7506 studio headphones. I have two pairs, so after the crappy pleather pads flakes off, I got these pads and they work so much better. I bought these for both of my headphones, and the quality is great. They've lasted a really long time now with no signs of wear and red really comfortable.

Amazing replacements for Sony MDR-7506
I am thrilled with the quality of these replacement ear pads for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. My pair of MDR-7506 have been used for video productions for about 10 years, and the ear pads had started to flake (see pictures). At first, I didn't think twice about the issue, but then when I started noticing weird black flakes on my clothes (and in my camera bag), I started to take closer notice to what was going on. The padding material had started to deteriorate and flake off. I figured I'd just get original Sony replacement pads, but I wasn't a fan of the crinkly pad cover that Sony uses. So I figured I'd give the Wicked Cushions a try. They are AWESOME and make my headphones look like brand new!! They feel just as comfortable as my original Sony ear pads, perhaps a tad bit better fitting for my ears. Removing the ear pads took less than 5 seconds, and installing them took a total of 5 minutes for both sides. The included instructions (and link to their instructional video) made the process super easy. I'm thrilled I decided to buy these ear pads, and I even more thrilled that my earphones are back to new condition (and no more weird flakes)!!

I might try another replacement next time
I don't dislike the Wicked Cushions replacement pads, but I didn't find them to be the expected upgrade from the stock Sony pads, either. This isn't my first rodeo with Sony MDR-V6 and 7506 headphones. The ones on which I just replaced the pads are at least my 6th or 7th set. The stock Sony pads - which wear and ultimately shred horribly - are, nonethless, incredibly comfortable. In fact, I drive my wife crazy by continuing to use them as they deteriorate, which leaves bits of leather here and there all over me. But they sound great and feel good! The Wicked Cushions pads installed easily and look good. The foam is slightly firmer than stock. I though as a result I might get a bit more loft from them, as they are about the same thickness as the Sony pads, but suprisingly, my ears wind up just a bit closer to the drivers, barely grazing the pads' foam liner covering them. The sound? Subtly different. Hard to say whether it's better or worse. Careful listening and comparing against other Sonys reveals the difference, but again, it's very slight. I can only assume that whatever small volumetric difference exists, as well as ear-to-driver proximity are responsible. In any event, I may go back to Sony pads next time around (despite knowing the shred to come), or maybe try yet another brand. These are good pads, to be sure, but nothing remarkable. I think a slightly thicker foam pad might improve them to the point of superiority though.
