Excellent drill. Compact and powerful enough for home use

Bosch is best.
As an avid DIY fan I have always used either Bosch or Black & Decker power tools. Over the years B & D quality has taken a nose dive so Bosch became my number one. Due to illness, when my last Bosch piwer drill died of old age I thought that as my DIY days are numbered, I would get a cheap power drill. MISTAKE. Despite the cost I wanted a relable drill so purchased this Bosch Power Drill Driver with 2 batteries and a charger. Well worth the money not only for the the reliability of Bosch but also for having a Drill that works as it should, especially the keyless chuck that actually holds stuff until you release it. Buy Bosch.

Powerful drill

Great drill from Bosch
About 2 years ago, I bought a great Chinese manufacturer's drill and it's still going strong but they won't sell additional batteries and I can't find an equivalent anywhere. So I decided to buy this as I know you can get batteries for it. So it's great quality and comes with a charger. The carry case is good as well. It holds and releases bits with a simple twist of the chuck without any real effort. I drilled a brick with a brand new small masonry bit and it sank into material fairly quickly in 2nd gear at moderate speed. The drill bit didn't come loose while drilling and that is important! So now, I will get a greater capacity battery in the near future and will also feel confident to purchase other Bosch bare tools in the same range. Added Later... I've been using this on and off for a few weeks now! I bought an extra 2.5 ah battery but I have found that the fully charged 1.5 ah battery has lasted well. I have been drilling walls into the the brick and it is performing well with 4 and 5mm Bosch Masonry bits. I want to reiterate that this drill is very good for DIY tasks and is now my go to hammer drill.
