Our family faithfully uses this stuff regularly to control scalp irritation. We have sensitive skin and this has been in a league by itself in terms of avoiding ingredients that would exacerbate the issue. It does make ones hair a little dry, so I recommend just applying it to the scalp rather than an entire head of hair. We actually follow this with Eden Bodyworks Clarifying Shampoo on our scalps to keep that skin calm and not flaky. I bought this shampoo for my sensitive skin and it has been a game changer. Not only does it work well on my scalp, but it also helps with my beard, which can get irritated easily. It cleared up my seborrheic dermatitis and feels very mild compared to other dandruff shampoos I have tried. Fragrance-free and gentle, yet effective, definitely worth it if you struggle with sensitivity.

Ive only used it 3 times and the flakiness is 97% gone. I decided to go for this one because my hair ends are pretty dry already, and I didn’t want my hair to suffer more from that. My dermatitis is oily ofc though. The itchiness is gone now too. Worth a shot if you ask me

I ordered this for my husband and he said he loves it because it works and also, because his hair is not as flat. I love that it is fragrance-free and that the company does not test on animals. See note below.Ethical Elephant says the company verified that their products and ingredients are not tested on animals, and that they do not sell their products under conditions where animal testing is required by law. They further stated that Vanicream is a cruelty-free brand by their standards. They also noted that Vanicream is owned by Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc., and that company is NOT cruelty-free because they allow some of their other brands to test on animals.

This is the best shampoo I've ever used for my scalp. I used to get flaking, itching and even bleeding around my scalp line. I started using this about 6 years ago and have never had the that problem again. Life saver, could not recommend more for people with seborrheic dermatitis.

A little goes a long way. Love its non toxic formulation

I wanted to like this shampoo because the Vanicream face cleanser and moisturizer are excellent. However, there is an ingredient in the shampoo that really irritates my eyes. No matter how hard I try to avoid getting it in my eyes, just the proximity of washing my hair causes eye irritation. It may be an ingredient specific to the dandruff shampoo and the regular shampoo will not have the same problem.
