Looks nice but doesn't feel that nice
I love the design of this prayer mat and I'm thrilled with new unique designs being made. That being said, it feels like I'm praying on some kind of stiff starch men's dress shirt or tablecloth. It's not soft to the touch. I think I'd prefer something more velvety in the black area. The rug also doesn't have the kind of padding I imagined for the cost. It's extremely thin. So yes there is something between the fabric on the outside and the backing but it's not really a cushion as much as a thin layer. As for not slipping, it did move around on our tile floor but stays put on the carpet. All in all this looks cool but I wish there were improvements in fabric choice and cushion.

Well... I wish I read the reviews before buying. What a disappointment. The mat looks and feels like a garment bag. It has a very thin, cheap foam inside. You pay for an embroidery that is very nice. That said, it is way lower on the mat I received than in the photo. Not worth the money, kind of a rip-off. Extremely disappointed.

Amazing design and quality
I'm obsessed with this prayer mat; I love that we're getting modern designs now :) Shipping was way faster than expected and it's really nice quality. It doesn't have rubber on the bottom or anything, but it's fairly thick so I don't think it would slip on hardwood or tile (I have a carpeted room). I think it's a bit expensive but it's honestly worth it. I'm impressed!
