Q: Does the vent have to be built in ?

I had to make a pattern, draw it onto the hood and cut the hole . Fill in the gaps around the hole and make brackets to hold the vent to the hood! Look up the hood vent for the installation on U-TUBE. Camaro, Chevy HHR and some other cars.

Q: what are the dimensions? length, width and depth of the scoop? thanks

It’s matte but you can always paint it, wrap it, or add carbon fiber vynil etc.
