Radio works, looks like great features for the price. Hope we never need it for emergency!

Can't beat it for the price ($19.99). Awesome emergency radio!
Pros:Sensitive Digital tuner - no one else has one for this price! Much better than the Analog tuners that other similar priced emergency radios have.5 way power and the Solar cell is efficient. You can turn on the overhead light/lamp and the Solar cell will start charging.Stock 2200mAH unprotected LI-ION 18650 battery (tests 2000mAh) is 67mm long (has a button top) it can be replaced with a flat top unprotected LI-ION 18650 (I used a Molicel M35A - tests 3400+mAh) 65mm long. Added 70% more battery capacity.Weather Auto Alert works with the radio off (set it in WX mode - it turns the radio off, but you can see the Alert symbol). Will turn on the radio when a weather alert comes in.3.5mm Headphone Jack.USB type A power out.Sleep Timer - Off~90 min in 10 min increments.Auto scan and preset AM & FM channels (at least 30+ each band).I live on a hill but with the stock antenna, I can pick up NOAA weather stations 110 miles away.Cons:Only one found so far is the clock is a little squirrely (+/- 1 minute, may just be my radio).Overall:Awesome Deal considering all of that for less than $20 (19.99 when purchased)! I can live with the clock.*****UPDATE*****Unfortunately, the price went up from $19.99 to $35.99 which puts this in league with other similar digital emergency radios. No longer an awesome radio for the price, but I will still give it 5 stars for performance and features.

I would buy it again.
Likes: size, price, ease of programming, appearance (I bought a red one. Perhaps yellow would have been better for visibility.)Neutral: The clock runs constantly and therefore runs the battery down. It's to be expected. If the screen went blank after lack of use for a time, it MIGHT extend battery life. That's beyond my expertise. The batteries are rechargable, so this is not a big dealDislike: There seems to be a software glitch. Twice the alarm (remember, it's got a clock) has gone off at 12:00 (noon and midnight) when we had left the alarm in the disarmed position. Honest. Not a big deal. We tend to keep it in a place that we won't hear it. Although one wonders what it does to battery life. The net is: I would buy it again - you get what you pay for and this is ok.

Great Features
Decided I needed a more modern emergency radio for the collection. This Maksh seemed to offer most of the features I wanted, such as digital tuning with DSP, sleep timer, replaceable 18650 main battery, optional AAA batteries, and a fairly compact size. I assume the solar panel and crank perform as well as other brands. Based on my experience this radio is a definite keeper.

Great little radio
Only thing I didn't like is when you move the switch to swith back and forth from the rechargable battery to the AAA batteries, it resets everything and the clock goes back to 12 oclock. Other than that, it doesn't use much power, has good sound quality, will actually charge your phone in a pinch, while others I've tried will say they will, but don't do a good job, if at all.
