The story of the secret love between Lee Hwon, a fictional king of Joseon, and Wol, a female shaman. Wol was born as Heo Yeon Woo, the daughter of a noble family who won the love of the crown prince, Hwon. Her enemies, jealous of her family's position in court, schemed against her and wrestled away her rightful place as crown princess and nearly takes her life. 3rd purchase from Asian Drama Store, all dvd box sets are new and original!
This is my third purchase from Asian Drama Store and they’re legit. The dvd box set is new and an original. Moon Embracing the Sun episodes are clear with English subtitles. FYI, this drama plays in full screen not wide screen/whole screen on the tv. I like the dramas to fill the whole screen but it’s not a deal breaker.

Love this love story!
Now this story is brilliant. It is so sweet, sad, twisted, painful, wonderful, and a great ending. I am always in awe of the difference between one series I watch and the next I choose. I had to buy this one too. I was facinated with the story. This story involves sorcery, good and evil. The acting is excellent. Is there a bad actor in Korea? I have not seen one. No matter what their age, they are all just so great to watch. This story is amazing. I hope Amazon keeps adding to the series they sell. I just don't tire of watching them. I love watching period dramas and modern comedies. I have a great collection going and watch them over often. Some are so beautifully boxed they make a great collection on book shelves. I also love the music in some of them and collect that also.

This series would have been great if it had not been for the adult female ...
This series would have been great if it had not been for the adult female lead who was so syrupy gooey and bland and boring, who had zero personality. She was not at all like herself as a child who was so cute and had substance. There was absolutely NO CHEMISTRY between her and the king.

Another top quality DVD... compared to other countiesI rank Korean movies #1 plus....quality is top notch,story and actors with the combination of the behind thescenes people (producers/staff etc) what can I say ....you walk the walk and you definitely talk the talk, continueand don't deviate.
